Salgado vs Garcia is a much better match-up.

Ortiz is a headcase & Collazo's pretty shot, imo. Or at least so ring-worn as to make no odds. Might be entertaining in a car-crash sort of way, but I wouldn't watch it beyond that.

But Miguel Angel is quality & Juan Carlos is a hard boy. That'll either be an A-class clinic from Garcia or he gets dragged into the trenches for a war. That's where my money would be going, anyway...

Isn't there a "Hardest man my cousin knows in [Insert Northern shithole here]" thread you could contribute to instead...?

I think Collazo vs Ortiz is an interesting fight. Ortiz should clearly have more left physically between the two as he's quite a bit younger and hasn't experienced the wear and tear of a guy like Collazo, but Collazo is much more mentally tough, and I don't see any chance that Ortiz is gonna make Collazo quit. It's not out of the question that he knocks him out legitimately, but considering that Collazo has never been stopped and has faced some stiff punchers before I wouldn't count on that either.

Ortiz vs Collazo is 50/50 to me and I'd personally lean toward Collazo to win that one. Though I honestly wouldn't feel confident in either man's victory to put any money on it.

Last time I saw Collazo he got his arse solidly kicked by someone who lasted a round with Berto. That was fvcking years ago.

I cannot for the life of me, gil, see this as a fifty-fifty fight. Collazo is gonna cover up for the distance & Ortiz will work him over, or get a big lead & then clothesline the TV commentator or something.

Yeah i believe Collazo is the underdog also but not by much. Ortiz has a suspect chin and Collazzo has a very good chin.

Collazo's only chance is if he can break Vic down mentally.

which is a decent possibillity if his chin holds up.

That means he has to box from the outside and clinch when they close?

You're right, I guess Collazo should've been a heavier favorite than that

I thought he might when a decision or get Ortiz to quit late or something, I definitely didn't expect him to catch him like he did in the 2nd round. I knew he had a shot though.

I don't know where Ortiz goes from here. Collazo will probably be able to squeeze a few pretty good paydays out of this...at least one.

Stating the obvious here and I know Datsue alluded to it in his earlier post but Ortiz doesnt seem like he's all there to me! Since he started making movies, he's been putting on some bizarre persona where he half talks like he's Tony Montana in Scarface! Flat out bizarre.

You were right on this one Gil. I also thought my hometown boy Collazo had a shot.

For some reason everytime I thought about the fight, Collazo winning just seemed the more likely outcome to me. I certainly didn't think it would happen in the 2nd round though. That was a sweet right hook to end things.

Gil, Kid:

Very well done to you both! I hope you put some money down on him!

Ortiz has managed, once again, to utterly shite all over my expectations. The film "career" beckons.

Just watched it. Worst defence in the history of the world. He couldn't square up more if you gave him a fornicating protractor.

Lovely shot by Collazo though.

Ortiz is a natural righty that fights lefty so by default that should be him. Nevermind.
