Evander is in his 40s in that picture; get a picture of him from the Bowe rematch; guy was so ripped it looks fake.gilgamesh wrote:IKSRTFO wrote:punchoutsb wrote:I do get your point, but ironically the current Heavyweight champ looks better than either...
Actually while impressive, I don't think either Klit is as ripped as those guys or as Holyfield was.
They both have great physiques
I Found a better picture of Evander's physique than that, but for some reason it wouldn't go up when I tried to post it.

I just can't find a good photograph of him from that era to post, but I've seen his physique during that rematch and you are correct. Here's a better one than I posted before though.dempseyfire wrote:Evander is in his 40s in that picture; get a picture of him from the Bowe rematch; guy was so ripped it looks fake.gilgamesh wrote:IKSRTFO wrote:

Primo was an absolute BEAST. Such a physically strong guy. Obviously his boxing skills weren't there, but I would say he was the strongest Heavyweight champion ever. He would have been very interesting to see with modern training, diet, and supplements al la Evan Fields.

Maybe what we should take from the pictures of Bruno, Cummings, Tubbs, and Witherspoon are the results: The "fatty" Witherspoon beat both Bruno and Cummings.
Tubbs never fought either Bruno or Cummings, but he did beat Bonecrusher Smith who looked in far better shape than him.

Bone was extremely fit and cut. A pretty good fighter as well.Ambling Alp II wrote:Maybe what we should take from the pictures of Bruno, Cummings, Tubbs, and Witherspoon are the results: The "fatty" Witherspoon beat both Bruno and Cummings.

Neither of you two come away looking without suspicionfrom this ....ffs just get a room and be done with itpunchoutsb wrote:My "calling you out" on the eye candy comment was just a joke mate. I knew what you meant.
Jeffries, Dempsey, Rocky, Baer (at times), Morrison, Wlad, Golota when he was young, even a guy like Mark de Mori (does he qualify as a boxer haha) or Albert Sosnowski. There have been plenty of muscular or ripped or whatever descriptor you want to call it white heavyweights.

When i showed the Bruno-cummings picture to the missus she could only comment on Jumbo's pants..
