To be honest, the rematch doesn't need building. The first fight was fairly close and competitive, both have improved since then, Fury was due to face Haye and has a decent ranking, Chisora has fought for a world title and fought Helenius and Haye.

Some will argue that Fury needs a tune up but I don't see it to be honest. He sees himself as a world class operator now. No need for tune ups anymore. If, for example, Haye comes back, do we think he would want a tune up against someone barely in the top 50 at late notice? His "tune up" fight last time out was against Chisora himself!

Oh I agree. Fury reckons he needs a tune up though so ....

Considering he has beat Del Boy before and Chisora has since come up well short when facing the elite level guys since ( Haye and Vitali obviously ) I can see an argument for Del Boy to actually be Fury's "tune up"

Tyson seems to be attempting to almost "blag" a way to mandatory status. Johnson, Cunningham and what seems like will end up Chisora ( after this next tune up ) are all fine opponents and wins but they all lack the same thing, size and power. Before he gets whitewashed by Wlad, I'd like to see him in ith a heavyweight who carries a serious threat. If he comes through such a challenge then it will actually increase his chances if and when the shot against the champ comes.

It's a shame the fight with Pulev didnt happen. I think Pulev would of beaten him though.

Pulev was/is a 50/50 fight for Tyson.

I think that's why they didnt want it. Too risky.

I think they would rather face the likes of Cunningham, Johnson, Del Boy and probably Adamek, then take the loss against Wlad in a mandatory shot for bigger dough than jump in with guys who could take him out for less. Haye was different as he was probably going to earn more for that than any title shot he lands, so wasp worth the risk.

Its a fair enough strategy. Maximises his earnings and all that. Not great for the fans but can certainly understand the approach.

Years back... I was @ gig in Hammersmith and the musician/entertainer was "telling" stories or sumsuch... and a bloke next to me shouted "c'mon man get on with it"...

Fury v Chisora 15/02/2014 @ Copper Box Arena

Roight. Is it really necessary to drag the inevitable out another 6-9 months? Rather anticlimactic me thinks...

"c'mon laddie boys get on with it"...

People have short memories, the official scores were 118-111 and 117-112 twice and it seemed a lot wider. The first fight wasn't close.

Tyson won clear and I think will always beat Chosora, no matter what shape he is in, although Del Boy didnt give himself the best chance that night.

It being wider than I remember ( Del Boy did have his moments and of course, it was on "Fury's show" so scores were always going to be favouring Tyson ) just means it makes even more sense for Tyson to use Del Boy as his tune up next month! :TU:

He ticks the boxes for what Fury is looking for. Will give him plenty of rounds, is durable and will give him a fight. Lacks power too. Win win

Personally I think it's a lose/lose. If (when) he beat's Chisora, he's just going over old ground but ofcoarse being heavyweights he can always get caught, and would there then be a third? It could be one of the worst trilogies in the history of boxing. Three cuddling matches.

Chisora don't hit hard enough to stop Fury. He don't hit hard enough stop anyone of note.

I'd rather see Fury fighting him next month than some guy completely out of his depth and who would be better suited to fighting Hughie which is what will be served up!

he probably does to be fair to him, chisora has had a good handful of fights since fury last fought he'd be a bit daft to go straight into a fight with him without a tune up first especially with the way world title shots are going to be lining up. Lose the rematch and its back of the bus for a year.

He's come up short but at a level fury hasnt fought at, im fairly confident chisora would have beaten cunningham and johnson too. Also fury won the rounds but had a fair few sticky patches in the first fight against a fat chisora.

I just don't think Fury can get away with what is going to be a shite opponent. Same as Del Boy really.

The thing is that Fury is versatile enough to beat a decent boxer (Rogan) southpaw; Chisora does have his head screwed on better but Fury will beat him again.

If Del Boy could bang I would fancy him to take Fury out. He can't though so he will just end up getting out worked. Neither man carries enough to stop the other.

i agree theres no point either of them fighting a complete bum but a durable EU level type would be alright or Tarver  Someone in the top 40 would do me. But lets face it i think we all know TBA will be someone dragged out of an eastern european pub with fists made of polystyrene, a jaw of glass but who is hyped up to be durable, and the engine of a lada.

Seeing them both in against a top 150 guy is wishful thinking!

Will be a complete waste of time if it does happen. Fighting a bum to warm up for a fight which is going overground against yet another gatekeeper type in Del Boy isn't exactly ambitious from Tyson. After that it will be 'we are looking a fighting a top guy ( he seems intent on fighting Adamek at some point so I'm expecting this...which will be another gatekeeper given how far he has fallen ) in order to land a fight against a title holder' then before you know what's happening its 2015 and the Haye debacle begins again!

Think business and from the Promotors perspective. Why have one event when you can have two.

I dont know about that fury v chisora is great business for allegedly and both fighters have good rankings with the sanctioning bodies so it will be a big jump up the rankings with all the major bodies for the winner.

Deontay Wilder was calling out Fury after the Audley Harrison KO 1... barely a year ago... March 2013 wasn't it...

I had read that a Wilder v Fury bout was being "worked on"; however, it went on to state that Wilder had "legal issues". I assumed those "legal issues" were passport or work Visa related issues, but the Harrison fight was in Sheffield, so... wot's awl this about then?
