Quite a good night out
Quite a good night out
Sat night, got home late from work, contemplating gettin the Hatton fight on the sly (saving money for house, and missus was supposed to be out), missus rings me up, tells me to come to restraunt and meet some friends, bugger I thought, no chance of some sneaky pay -per-view.
Got to indian restrauntt, an lo & behold, they had the fight booked! Curry , beer and boxing, is there a better combination???

They were playing a bhanga music channel before they turned over, and fair play to them they had all post interviews on.Neri1983 wrote:The Sports Bar in Liverpool had it. As for your experience, I sometimes wonder who manages these sports bars, someone who actually has his finger on the pulse of whats happening in sport , or some knob from management school who thinks he's giving what the punters want.

I t was in Hatch End?Northwood borders, called Shabids. or Shaids, lots of plasma, can't quite remember as a result of the few 1664's.dopey wrote:What Indian resturant was that? Apart from actually being at the fight live, I can't think of a better way to watch it espically since you didn't have to waste £15 for them to show Hatton plus one fight on the undercard!
The other great bit was I drove up to meet my missus who was already there and she ended up not drinking and driving a slightyly tipsy me back.

And got Stuart Pearce to sign my program.
Not a bad night out
I had MAB stood next to me at the after fight party at the Hilton, he seemed a decent bloke, he was posing for photo's & signing autographs etc etc.
He also was with 3 very nice looking women.
Also had a chat with Terrible Tim Witherspoon waiting for me taxi home from the Hilton.
Tried to shake Amir Khan hand but just as i was approaching he turned away & walked the other way

Which sports bar? I keep asking around about boxing and always get some shitty answer about blood sports, the vine on Smithdown is the only place I found in Liverpool which shows boxing (and one of the few that show Rugby League for that matter).Neri1983 wrote:The Sports Bar in Liverpool had it. Got the fight in with a few mates, we put money on a sweepstakes as to what round it would end in and my bastard housemate won it and still didn't pay for the Taxi home (tight git)
I'm not sure the actual name of the road, but its round the corner from where Wade Smith used to be. Sports Cafe is the proper name i believe.josh fg wrote:Which sports bar?
