british heavyweight title?
Re: british heavyweight title?
I think audley harrison should get a shot against sprott. Both ex EU title holders, both ranked high domestically, both 2 time prize fighter winners, also people want to see sprott v harrison III. It would be a very big fight for the british title.

Well Big Aud is currently in Sheffield at the moment, and since their have been rumours of his return I would be hugely surprised if he is not in the mix for a shot in an eliminator/title shot scenario.Finn wrote:I think audley harrison should get a shot against sprott. But, I agree with the concenus on this thread, it will be a pretty weak Brit champion whatever the outcome. Shame really because I feel that we have been spoilt in terms of the fighters scrapping for the belt over the last 7 years, perhaps the good times are over!!
Re: british heavyweight title?
is Harrison still talking about winning a world title , even he must realise it wont happen,
does he think the british is below him STILL?

Re: british heavyweight title?
There's only one Danny Williams
Danny V Fraudley - Match made in heaven
In all seriousness Sprott is the most likely - Who he would fight is anyone's guess. I'd prefer Hughie Fury rather than McDermott or Sexton or even Lewison

McDermott walks it, to be honest.lillywhite14 wrote:Little four way tournament, Sprott, McDermott, Lewison and Sexton.
Would produce a credible champ.

God that was an awful fight. I'm falling asleep now just remembering it.expe wrote:Fury-Cornish wouldn't be as bad as Leon Williams-Shane McPhilbin, struggle to get any lower than that.bripez wrote:Tyson Fury, Chisora and Price won't want it - the problem is that there is then a big gulf between the next bunch.
It might be an opportunity for McDermott to get a British title, other than that we might have the depressing situation of having Hughie Fury boxing Cornish for the title which for me would be a new low for British boxing.
There is very little depth to the division - why not get Joshua fighting for it?
Re: british heavyweight title?
should just get joshua in now,he is head and shoulders above all our domestic level fighters take away fury and chisora. he is the third best heavy we have imo

He's beaten 3 journeymen so far, Price would knock him out and he would be beaten by McDermott, Sprott, Skelton and Sexton.fasteddie wrote:should just get joshua in now,he is head and shoulders above all our domestic level fighters take away fury and chisora. he is the third best heavy we have imo
