I read on espn.co.uk that Audley Harrison has a fight lined up! Anyone know anything about this?

i was thinking before that he could be fighting either chisora or fury as neither are massive punchers it could be a better fight than we might expect or he could get ko'd in 15 seconds

Is it going to be Chisora v Harrison or Tyson v Harrison? Haha

What are his chances against either? The shape Tyson is in, I'd think it would be Chisora V Audley.

Can you imagine if Audley managed to beat either of them? Talk about the wheels falling off! One thing about Harrison is, you should always expect the unexpected...

I don't think either Fury or Chisora can rattle the skull like Price or Wilder. You never know, wouldn't shock me if Audley went the full distance against either.

Both are intimidating enough to scare Fraudley and both has enough power to shatter his ultra fragile chin. Both men will be fully aware that their rivals (Haye, Price, Wilder) have destroyed him in no time, so will go all out to do the same and will land early and KO him no question

Audley is now absolutely, utterly ancient. 43 this year. Whether you like him, hate him or whatever, the bottom line is the days when he could perform in the ring have gone for good. He continues to delude himself but why the hell would anyone with a rational mind part with money to hire him as a professional boxer ? The only conceivable reason would be to hire him as cannon fodder but even that option is tarnished due to him being blitzed in the first round by Price and Wilder. If you hire him to face your prospect and he lasts a few rounds, your prospect won't have improved on what Price and Wilder did, so what is the point ?

I see why Goodwin hired him to face Ali Adams, it was a calculated gamble which didn't pay off, but I see the sense in attempting it. For the life of me, I can't see how anyone would do it in 2014, after his humiliations vs Price and Wilder.

Audley beats most in the UK imo excluding fury, chisora, haye and price. But you put him in there with any of the other guys he wins. Guys like hughie fury and Joshua havent got the experience yet.

I just would not want to see Audley anywhere near Joshua.....

....the fight would teach AJ precisely nothing
....it would be a farce and hack off the media and casual fans we need to put money/interest back into the sport
....Audley getting flattened is no longer entertaining, he's taken enough and has a family who need him

Harrison must be going for the world record for the longest time between announcing a comeback & actually having a contest.

I just don't get why he'd announce that he was un-retiring, then almost a year later, still not have had a fight.

Audley is truly crazy.

He's a married man with 2 young children; money in the bank & a nice comfortable life in California.

He has never had the stomach for a fight, so why continue to box?

I just don't get the man.

Why the hell would people pay to watch him fight Haye, when it was obvious that it was going to be a rubbish fight?

Somehow, the guy still manages to attract attention. I'd probably watch him for a laugh. And a bit for old times sake, as I was a fan back in the day. Despite the fact he'd probably lose if he fought somebody that had ever thrown a punch in his career, there's probably an audience if you were to stick him on Channel 5. I wouldn't pay to see him, but if promoted right there's probably still an audience as long as you're not expecting him to sell out 20,000 tickets.
