Looks like Price is facing a change of opponent for Saturday evening. Not been the best of starts for him has it!

Heard he ring walks about 6.15pm on Saturday.

I dont think it is what the doctor ordered though. Price needs rounds. That was a big part of his undoing against Thompson aswell. He'd had too many fights against soft opposition that went down as soon as he touched them and he learnt fornicate all from it. As soon as he fought a live opponent who didnt fall apart with the first punch landed on them, he was in trouble.

I dont think it is what the doctor ordered though. Price needs rounds. That was a big part of his undoing against Thompson aswell. He'd had too many fights against soft opposition that went down as soon as he touched them and he learnt eff all from it. As soon as he fought a live opponent who didnt fall apart with the first punch landed on them, he was in trouble.

Rounds should come later, confidence is most important right now, blow a couple out early, then bring in someone tough to give him a few rounds before the summer, then another couple like that before the year is out.

Perhaps. Still not exactly the type of opponent 21-0 potential world title challenger should be facing though.

Disappointing all round really.

With Vitali retiring it means freeing up a belt. I can see a whole host of heavyweights now just sitting tight, plodding along against sub standard opposition waiting until they get a shot. Fury and Chisora included.

Someone like Danny Hughes would be ideal for Price. A failry mobile and durable heavyweight who doesn't bang too hard but will give Price a few good rounds.
