over the disappointment of the Froch-Groves rematch happening? I'd really like to see that fight. Stevenson has said that he can make 168 comfortably still so I wish they'd look at that fight.

I think Froch would get bashed up, to be honest. They are similar ages but Stevenson is so much fresher. Big puncher and also very quick/skilful. On reflection, CF dodged a bullet avoiding him when he was a no-name mandatory.

Either way, I can't see it happening whilst Adonis is hot at 175. Lots of big fights for him there (Kovalev, Pascal, Ward if/when he moves up, Hopkins if they can sort out TV network complications). Must say, though, that I was pretty underwhelmed when I heard he was fighting Fonfara next. Why can't they get the Kovalev fight on?!?!

I think Stevenson is trying to cash in before taking on the challenge which is Kovalev. I suppose you cant really blame him in that regard.

Fair enough from his perspective, but disappointing as a fan!

Froch ducked Stevenson @ 168 when Stevenson was his mandatory, this was before he caused havoc @ LHW no chance in hell Froch touches him now.

I don't know about that. kovalev is part of his renewed contract with HBO. Stevenson had to wait then move up (due to froch-kessler 2) to become a world champion & he's been kind of pushed into fighting kovalev - already after proving so much. Stevenson is a pimp from Haiti and HBO - currently into Russian aggressors - have chosen kovalev as their boy.

believe fonfara's a top 10 ranked light heavyweight so on paper there's nothing wrong with the fight. hope Stevenson-pascal gets made - promoters won't be able to resist filling a stadium - then reckon Stevenson-kovalev unification of punchers early next year.

That Kovalev or GGG are the only others that interest me. Ward and JCC snooze
