Both guys picked up the pace in the 3rd, started to get a lot more fun to watch.

3-0 Peterson

Peterson is looking very, very confident considering he's coming off a knockout loss. Jean still trying to find his range on his right hand.

Peterson still getting the best of it through 4, but it's a competitive bout.

Peterson getting downright cocky in that round. Kicking Jean's ass.

5-0 Peterson

Looks like my prediction for Jean to win a close decision has already gone out the window, In Peterson's hometown, no way Jean will get a decision starting out like this.

I think I saw Mark "2 Sharp" Johnson in the crowd out there. Peterson still kicking Jean's ass.

6-0 Peterson

Looks like Jean was banking on Peterson having a weak chin...pretty dumb plan if that was the case. Other than being knocked out by Matthysse, Peterson has not shown a weak chin in his career, and Matthysse is a bonafide puncher.

Peterson took control back in the 9th.

8-1 Peterson

Jean better hope he can hit as hard as he thinks he can, because being in Peterson's hometown, he almost certainly needs a knockout to win now.

Their roles have reversed since the start of the fight, now Peterson is walking Jean down as if he's the puncher.

9-1 Peterson

Really doesn't look like Jean has a chance here. Peterson in top form.

I dunno, Ortiz and Khan both hurt Peterson a fair few times.

Those guys can punch though. Ortiz and Khan aren't weak punchers by any means.

I wouldnt call Khan a puncher though. He never really hurt Maidana with head shots. He dropped him with a body shot but otherwise he pretty much took it.

11-1 Peterson for me. I'll announce the Official scores when I hear them.

The HBO west rebroadcast of the other card is still about an hour and a half away...that sucks

Extremely disappointed with Jean tonight. He's a very effective boxer when he lets his hands go but he barely threw anything (hey, that reminds me of someone  )

He's not the biggest puncher, but he's not feather fisted either. Besides, he didn't put Peterson down.
