Have you been on a diet, Hagler?
I've lost 7 stone m8 in the last 11 months.
Well you wasn't that big when I saw you. When was that, about April? I'd leave it now if I was you.

Oh please. Hall isn't the rightful champ at all.
How is he not? Jamie McDonnell was stupid enough to turn down a mandatory defence and not get it sorted in time, the IBF took the next two highest ranked fighters available, Hall and Malinga, they fought for the belt, Hall won to take the title.[/quote]

That's horse-dung.

How often do the IBF strip other titlists for not meeting their mandatory obligations? Jamie was screwed out of his title because he walked out on his promoter. It's no coincidence that the Dennis Hobson promoted Stuart Hall just happened to be next in line for a shot.

I actually find this whole situation pretty abhorrent and that's saying a fair bit in a sport where dirty dealing is standard.

Champions usually meet their mandatory obligations. Jamie McDonnell screwed himself out of his title by turning down the mandatory defence, then leaving Hobson, they knew the deadline, they knew he had a mandatory, but they ignored it and he was rightly stripped. Hall was next in line because Hobson was manoeuvring him to a rematch with McDonnell, so naturally he was high in the rankings. I would say it's more stupid than abhorrent, the only thing shady is the circumstances of McDonnell leaving Hobson.

The fight is far from a disgrace, it's a good solid matchup. It's not the fighters fault there's a IBF strap up for grabs the shite politics which surround the sport determined that.

I think you dislike the politics around it mate, the fight itself is a great one i think, stylistically and for the north east fans especially.

I respect peoples opinions but it is what it is and neither Hall or Ward are at fault, i think good luck to them (well especially Stuey as he's a mate :TU: )

If Hall's got anything about him then he should wipe the floor with Ward.

This is a chief support level fight, not a good main event.
