Manchesters Bantam Amateur Joe Murray beat the highly rated American Jorge Diaz jnr tonight in the Annual England v USA Amateur boxing show at the Hilton hotel in London.
Young joe beat Diaz 28-18 and put on a great performance against an opponent whom had only lost by 3pts to this years World bronze medalist Gary Russell jnr.
18 yr old Joe younger brother of Pro John Murray has started the week off well for what will be hopefully a family double by the end of the week as his big brother goes for his first title.
