Have Cook-Pace fought yet? Tony Pace is much better than his record suggests.
Re: Cardiff RBR
On after Selby-Munroe, doubt it's televised. Joshua-Darch up next, come on the Welshmankeithmoonhangover wrote:Have Cook-Pace fought yet? Tony Pace is much better than his record suggests.

Terry O is the ref in the Joshua fight. Just in case things don't go to plan for Match Room

Talk about protecting your investment, even though Hearn's hardly put much cash into him.Exoddus wrote:Terry O is the ref in the Joshua fight. Just in case things don't go to plan for Match Room.

Re: Cardiff RBR
yeah, for you...can't speak for buckland, but I had crolla winning without doubt vs rees due to subtle control, tight defense and keeping rees off balance. my big issue was ppl calling crolla-rees a war, when it was more technical, subdued and with tamer exchanges than expected given who was in the ring.expe wrote:John Keane is on something tonight, 116-113 Buckland is a shocking card.
That's a shocking decision, there's no way Buckland won that fight and as usual the promoter - Eddie Hearn
Gavin Rees will probably retire now, off the back of two defeats that for me he didn't deserve, especially the one tonight, he doesn't deserve that.

I'm rapidly approaching the bottom of the third wine bottle. From now on, I will be talking complete nonsense.
First up. Joshua looks like Jozy Altidore.

Yeah he's a clown. Too early to say if Joshua is any good because the British Heavyweight periphery is very poor.expe wrote:'Experts'

Re: Cardiff RBR
I think Joshua could of picked a better trainer than Tony Sims.
Re: Cardiff RBR
I thought Rees took both, Crolla was the closer but I thought he comfortably did enough, but he didn't help by dropping the pace in the last couple of rounds.Autobarn wrote:yeah, for you...can't speak for buckland, but I had crolla winning without doubt vs rees due to subtle control, tight defense and keeping rees off balance.expe wrote:John Keane is on something tonight, 116-113 Buckland is a shocking card.

I think his chin's going to be dodgy, his legs are way too skinny.ThereByTheGrace wrote:Yeah he's a clown. Too early to say if Joshua is any good because the British Heavyweight periphery is very poor.expe wrote:'Experts'

Re: Cardiff RBR
Musular looking fellow they have to fight Joshua here, but with a record of 7-2 with only 1 KO he's probably not much of a threat.
Re: Cardiff RBR
He seems to be the house trainer for Matchroom so that's probably why, I don't think Joshua really knows enough to pick a good trainer.columbo wrote:I think Joshua could of picked a better trainer than Tony Sims.
Re: Cardiff RBR
Are Joshua's legs a bit skinny?
Re: Cardiff RBR
He threw about 5 right hands in a row and still didnt put Darch down.
Re: Cardiff RBR
Darch's legs went at the end of the first, but before that Joshua hardly landed, constantly made to miss by Darch slipping his punches.

Re: Cardiff RBR
Why was Joshua bone dry when the first bell started?
Re: Cardiff RBR
He tagged him with a sh*t load of big shots there at the end of the 1st. Darch was lucky to stay on his feet.
Doubtful he makes it out of the 2nd round.

Yes. He's built a lot like Wilder, although bulkier up top.Finch wrote:Are Joshua's legs a bit skinny?

Price hits harder.
Re: Cardiff RBR
I think crolla didn't do too much offensively to prevent rees from getting into the fight. like with crolla-derry 2, crolla was careful not to make a mistake. (I had crolla-derry 2 a draw, was worried for crolla in that one).expe wrote:I thought Rees took both, Crolla was the closer but I thought he comfortably did enough, but he didn't help by dropping the pace in the last couple of rounds.Autobarn wrote:yeah, for you...can't speak for buckland, but I had crolla winning without doubt vs rees due to subtle control, tight defense and keeping rees off balance.expe wrote:John Keane is on something tonight, 116-113 Buckland is a shocking card.

what I saw, crolla broke the rhythm of rees and had him off balance all night. crolla picked some clever shots, tucked up and usually timed rees at the end of exchanges, making him lose his balance. rees'd come back with slappy flurries, not being in position (and outreached) to punch, and AC'd have it covered. recall Anthony's jabs and body shots being good - albeit only single shots. I hoped crolla would punctuate this, with big, championship calibre attacks, say, toward the end of the rounds - but he kept in within himself, boxed seemingly to instructions, winning with the judges (& the commentators who got stick, but whom I had no problem with watching the sky sports broadcast).
