Pernell Whitakers legacy?
Re: Pernell Whitakers legacy?
difficult to answer all those questions without rambling
to put it concisely, whitaker will be remembered for getting the wrong end of some awfully dodgy decisions, being an unbelievable talent with a craving for white powder who had the guts to face bigger men at the tail end of his career
I see him as a slighty better version of Floyd,he had more offense and flashier defensive skills,in his prime you simply couldn't get near him

Extraordinary master that was to me, THE BEST FIGHTER OF THE 1990s decade. The great Pernell "Sweet Pea" Whitaker was somebody that was ONLY ENTERTAINING to guys that appreciate boxing skills. If you wanted guts, blood and KOs, you was about to see the wrong fight. He was not going to give you that. I think he was a top 5 or 6 great lightweight, and a top 25 great fighter all time p4p. He beat the very best of his time.
