I am a big fan of Shavers and yes of course he had a chance. He was an awesome banger. I just think on balance of chins, jab and ability Liston too good a fighter.
I would say Liston past his best at time of Anchor punch. That sort of punch happens once in a lifetime wouldn't you say??
Liston from 1958 - 1963 was a great fighter ; Large dimensions, good weight, fit, strong, good chin, great jab, powerful punch, a quick left hook and intimidation.

Shavers ever the punchers chance. But the smart bet in my opinion is Liston.

Shavers always had a punchers chance, but Liston had better technique and conditioning. Liston, inside of 3, but it would have been fun.
