I would only give that bird a 7/10. Having said that, I`d still smash her back doors in after a few ales, free of charge.

Groves trying to get the fight result changed now. He must be on the phone to solicitors every bloody day. Really though? The Monroe-Selby stoppage was twice as bad, these types of stoppages happen every weekend on the world scene. It's starting to get really old, really quick and I'm sure that the support that Groves has gained, he is now slowly losing.

Come on George, this is getting silly now!
Just get the rematch signed.

Re: Groves now contesting the IBF again over the 15% ruling
It's not that silly.
"The panel felt that in the 9th round, Groves should have been allowed to continue as he did not appear to be seriously hurt and was counter punching and attempting to move the action away from the ropes at the time of the stoppage. In addition, the referee waived off the fight from behind Groves instead of in front of him and did not look into his eyes. Groves showed no signs of being hurt after the stoppage. In sum, the panel felt it was an improper stoppage."
If the Board concur with the IBF, the fight will be ruled a no contest.

The board have all ready sided with Howard Foster's decision though and given him backing.
For the fight to be declared a N/C would be a travesty. If I was Froch, I wouldn't be touching a rematch with Groves with 50 ft a barge pole.
If it's declared a N/C, I want my £14.99 PPV back!

Groves is obviously trying to needle Froch, he knows full well that the result will stand; it takes minimum effort for him to stir up a hornets nest. He must have a list of things he thinks will wind Froch up and is going through them one by one.

Aw bless him. Little Georgie-Weorgie isn't happy with the Boardy-Woardy, so he's spitting his dummy out. Newsflash Mr Groves, you lost the fight. Now, grow up and accept the loss like a man.

That would be strange if the board change it to NC,i cant remember that happening in the UK before even in a world title fight
Maybe McKenzies stoppage of Maccarinelli should get changed also![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Groves didn't lose, the ref stopped it unfairly.keithmoonhangover wrote:Aw bless him. Little Georgie-Weorgie isn't happy with the Boardy-Woardy, so he's spitting his dummy out. Newsflash Mr Groves, you lost the fight. Now, grow up and accept the loss like a man.
Groves has every right to complain and I hope the fight does get ruled a N/C.

Tellingly, Robert Smith said "we get a lot of these". I think that tells us the outcome - they've not changed a major decision afterwards ever, so they won't start now or else there will be a long queue at the door !handsofstone wrote:That would be strange if the board change it to NC,i cant remember that happening in the UK before even in a world title fight

Re: Groves now contesting the IBF again over the 15% ruling
if all these people that arent happy with stoppages can just get them overturned it will be really bad for the sport! bad stoppages happen, theres been plenty more that are worse and there will be plenty more again! its obviously a problem but this isnt the way to deal with it!
george has his opportunity to take the rematch, beat carl if hes good enough and set himself up for big money fights in the future, but all he seems to be doing is whining about everything and hes coming across like an overgrown baby.... really gone off him these days.
follow enzo macs example from the ovill fight! take the rematch and win in fashion if you believe youre capable!!!

I'll give anyone 10-1 right now that the board overturn the decision. Any takers?
