I'd like to see him against Sexton in a British title eliminator.

Yes, or McDermott vs Lewison instead if he's fit.

He's been injured.

He should be stripped of the English title if he can't defend it soon.

I'd love to see Harrison back as long as he operates at his level, which is domestic level.

If he does win a few fights at this level and he feels he should step up a level again then at least don't put him in with a puncher. It's just pointless for everyone.

Agreed, though I don't see it happening.

You know what Harrison is like. He'll beat a journeyman, and start going on about redemption and title shots etc...

If he was interested in coming back at domestic level or lower, he'd have done it by now. Something tells me the reason he isn't fighting is because he seems to think he's world title level and nobody else agrees.

It was amazing really... that he even got a world title shot against David Haye, considering it was based on a domestic prizefighter tournement, and he beat a domestic fighter in Michael Sprott for the European belt.

Harrison just talked a good game .... the promoters listened... and then fell flat on his face.

If he were to fight again (at 42) it would be more so for the money (like Danny Williams)... as surely he knows he is not going to fufill his broken promises... all those 1st round KOs in recent fights must testify that.

What I found amazing was that people thought Audley would win. :o

Even casual fans must have seen the reaction to him in the media. Towards the end of his BBC contract even the commentators were slightly making excuses for him. They were making excuses for him. When he moved to ITV they barely even did that. Barry Mcguigan pretty much slated him every fight. Think about that for a moment. This isn't some guy who had his career buried backwater Sky channels. He was main eventing on two different terrestrial TV stations.

On top of that the papers had spent best part of a decade saying how mediocre he was. Some went further than that. He was slated by the press. There was a time when every time I said I liked boxing, somebody would say to me; "What about that Audley Harrison? Isn't he crap?"

Yet suddenly, those exact same people are suddenly acting like he's going to beat Haye. I didn't understand it.

All joking aside, some posters actually think Harrison has something yet to offer, yet the same posters want Danny Williams to retire.

I dunno. I wouldnt put Audley and Danny in the same boat. Completely different styles for one and on top of that, Audley has been losing to top prospect or top heavyweights generally. Danny is getting smashed about any semi competent boxer it seems.

agreed at domestic level in prize fighter audley looked a class apart, his picks at a higher level have been 3 of the biggest punchers in boxing, he needs to work on his matchmaking and fight at a certain level where he will be competitive.

Danny Williams failed his medical in the UK and cant beat journeymen.

Theres no shame in him fighting at domestic level infact i think bringing mcdermott, sprott, skelton, sexton and harrison into the mix together for the british title would be very exciting for british hw boxing.
