How good is Demetrius? Is he going to be a threat in the Welterweight division? I am just curious as I have never seen him at work, but under his brothers management I'm sure he has the potential to get the right fights at the right time!
He's okay, I think the Welterweight devision is going to be very exciting in a few months time - Judah, Margarito, Moseley(?), Mayweather, Gatti, Spinks (don't forget him), Cotto, Mitchell and a few others in the picture.
I cannot see him challenging these, from what I have seen of him. I've still yet to see Collazo in action, but from what I have heard he doesn't sound too convincing.
I think he might challenge and beat the likes of Urkal, Damngaard and maybe Collazo. However, the others will probably be too much for him. He is getting a fair amount of exposure now though.

Being from Turkish extraction , i hope that Urkal can take the WBA title off Collazo soon.
Regarding Demitrius - i have been an intrested reader the last year or so about him.
I hear he has a pretty decent dig to the body , i dont think he will be a world champion.
Im sure he is a light-welterweight not a welterweight.

I am not sure how much Urkal has left, i think Collazo will be too fresh for him at this stage of his career. Prime Urkal would have won handily from what i have seen of Collazo but after watching Urkal in with Klose and Nesterenko i think he may be losing his sharpness a bit so therefore i am backing Collazo to take the decision.
I think we can easily forget about Spinks. Margarito would kill him, PBF does everything he does but is stronger in every area, Zab already stopped him and probably would again. Nobody is going to fight Spinks as he could prove a tricky opponent. I think the only guy who would be happy to fight him is PBF because it would be easy money and an easy win.stujones wrote:He's okay, I think the Welterweight devision is going to be very exciting in a few months time - Judah, Margarito, Moseley(?), Mayweather, Gatti, Spinks (don't forget him), Cotto, Mitchell and a few others in the picture.

As for D Hopkins, I'm pretty sure he's not going to be anything like his uncle. He seems to have decent skills, not a lot of power & I don't see him ever becoming a big name. He could possibly win a version of the world title but not against any of the current champions.
I think i may be responsible for that onestujones wrote:Yet, post here are still saying there is a world class future for the inept Maussa.
Were you responsible for deleting my post aswell? Don't worry about it, think I have been having a Cory Spinks loving day today.steve689 wrote:I think i may be responsible for that onestujones wrote:Yet, post here are still saying there is a world class future for the inept Maussa. If so i was pointing to the fact he may be used as a durable "name" (beat Harris, former WBA champion etc) for the up and coming champions looking to fill out there record with
Not a future at world class for anything more than that.
Well it was a one in 4 chance of me picking the right mod, only the 3 other mods and the owner could have done that.steve689 wrote:Really sorry mate, i did this one i must have clicked on edit instead of quote for your postAnd in a vain attempt to fix it i left a trail of mayhem and destruction and ultimately....got caught
and as you were responding, I thought that might have happend.
Don't worry, it was only part of my Cory lovefest.
