'How I Survived Round 5'
Near the end of Round 4, Sonny Liston put something on his Left Glove, and stuck his left fist into my face.
At first it started to sting, but then it burned. At the end of the Round 4, I was completely blinded.
I couldn't see, but I 'knew' where the Hand-Held Television Camera Man was. I made sure I looked his way,
so the whole world could see.
I 'blinked away', just to make sure that the Closed Circuit viewers could see, so that nobody would think I was 'faking'.
You see, I'm a responsible person who must be taken seriously 100% of the time.
Just before Round 5 started, I tried to get the attention of the Referee - Barney Felix to let him know I wanted to 'quit'.
But he shunned me, and told me to get ready for the Round.
At the Bell starting Round 5, I was totally confused. I had wanted to 'quit', to show the World how tough I {wasn't}.
But, the Referee wouldn't hear of it. He made me continue, when I really didn't want to.
