Ricky has a great career ahead off him he should just take his time wait till alex arthur has moved up 2 world championship level ans vacated his british,Eu,comenwelth belts then have a go at it hes being rushed into a big fight. i saw ricky box the head off earl & haider ali also saw him box as an ametur he top notch boxer hes not ready yet for alex .yet a think he does not get the hype that kevin mitchell & amir khan gets hes fought the british lightweight champ beat him easy took the fight at short notice hes a natueral super fertherweight and won you dont see mitchell going for the british title hes had more fights a think take youre time fight a few 8 n 10 rounders get stronger then go for the big domestic fights against mithchell&others another gd scottish am has just turned pro last week james aincliffe from aberdeen he fights at bantemweight he will be a kracker hes turned with allegedly and also ryan brawly who has won his first 2 fights as a pro at lightweight the futres lookin gd for scottish boxing what do you think about ricky burns he should take his time

I agree, I'm a bit suprised that a promoter hasn't got behind Burns since the Earl win and given him some regular fights to develop his talents.

Looks like he's having to take another chances with his career because he was even willing to go to Italy to get a fight. Even with the inexperience I think it will be interesting against Arthur. For me Arthur is skillful but can be a bit one-paced, if Ricky can get a fast start it will just depend on if he can hold it together over the later rounds.

ricky boxes very fast hes lots of hooks n jabs and body shots he works the full round at a fast pace but yes he should take him time his manager rab bannon is a bit of a nutter he takes any fights offered 2 his fighters just look at the earl fight 22-0 lightweight nothing at stake no title for ricky he fought and won can he do it again

hes bigger than alex arthur thats for sure he has a stiff jab to keep him at bay wait n see 2 early a think why not arthur vs gomez kevin mitchell vs ricky burns

Mental but admirable for him to take this fight. Saying that if he comes into his own I think he'll win by (cuts) stoppage between 6-9. Needs to be really up for it though.

Can't fault him for taking the fight, and going on his showing aginst Earl, you can't right him off. My biggest concern is that he hasn't been past 8 rounds before. If he can handle the distance OK then he's in with a shout, although Arthur starts as favourite, obviously.
