I guess. Best case I ever saw of that happening was just last year with Maidana vs Broner.Space Moutain wrote:Depends how you rate fights. I hate Broner as well. But he was already hated by most people so wasn't nearly as overrated by the masses. Plus I don't think he was quite the lowlife Clay was, just a moron.gilgamesh wrote:I guess. Was he not Black growing up in 1940s - 1960s in Usa? Alhamdillah. I certainly don't consider Clay/Ali to be a low-life that's all I'll say about that. The only reason I'm not busting your balls to pieces right now is because you're a Ric Flair fan...so that counts for something for me.Space Moutain wrote:

Ric Flair is the greatest wrestler of all time...as long as you understand that, you have to have some knowledge.

Space Mountain even though I may wildly disagree with some of the things you speak out about Boxing, I can never hate you because of your understanding that Ric Flair is and always will be THE MAN!!!! WHOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Therefore I relinquish my arguments about Ali with you to someone else who doesn't love Ric Flair

I thought Ali -v- Foreman was good, in respect of the fact that Foreman looked so mean & serious, yet all Ali did was mouth off through the staredown & make Foreman mad, thus throwing him off his game.

A sham of a fight. Clay loses with a ref doesn't let him bounce off those ridiculous ropes.Syntax Error wrote:I thought Ali -v- Foreman was good, in respect of the fact that Foreman looked so mean & serious, yet all Ali did was mouth off through the staredown & make Foreman mad, thus throwing him off his game.
I consider it a loss anyway.

You go & ask George Foreman is he thinks that he won that fight?Space Moutain wrote:A sham of a fight. You might consider his victory over Foreman to be a defeat, but the records books state that Ali won by 8th round TKO & that's what matters.
Ali would never have lost to a one dimensional robot with dodgy stamina, even one with the immense strength & power Foreman had; Ali's chin, speed & ring smarts would always have been too much for Big George to cope with.
Also, why do you call Ali, Clay?
Ali hasn't been known as Clay for 50 years, which is more than long enough than a lot of us can remember or have even lived.

Why must I ask Foreman? I can think for myself. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for you and the rest of Clay's legion of worshipping minions.Syntax Error wrote:You go & ask George Foreman is he thinks that he won that fight?Space Moutain wrote:A sham of a fight. Space Mountain, please quit your childish insults.
I am not one of Ali's worshippers, even though it's not a crime to be such a person; I am just a person with a grip on reality.
I don't give a toss if you don't like the man, that is your prerogative, but calling Ali by his former name, a name he hasn't used for over 50 years is just silly.
I could understand if the year on the calender said 1964, but not 2014.

If you can't handle my opinion on the matter, I suggest you find someone else to converse with.
To me, Clay's "victory" in that fight is a joke. And while one of the "greatest" of all time, I find Clay to be quite overrated as well.
