Fury - Thompson
How many rounds do you think it would take Thompson to knock Fury out?

Re: Fury - Thompson
I don't see this one finishing early tbh. Thompson UD imo.
Re: Fury - Thompson
Fury would win fairly comfortably I reckon. I dont believe Thompson's power would trouble Tyson like it did Price and I think Fury would just outwork Thompson and win on points most probably. Possibly a late stoppage but more likely points.

He gets up and wins though
Re: Fury - Thompson
Because they are nobodies and cruiserweights... Thompson is a top 10 fighter
Re: Fury - Thompson
anybody with power to trouble Price would also have power to trouble Fury imo. Can't remember the nature of the second stoppage, but if Fury copped one round the side of the temple he'd be equally as discombobulated as Pricey was I reckon.
Re: Fury - Thompson
Thompson might be top 10,but he's also complete pony. In the 80's and 90's he'd have been a journeyman, fringe contender at best. Fury is no superfighter, but it's hard to see what Thompson has to beat him with. If Fury.

Fury hasn't fought anyone of his size, his quality, he's a southpaw, and he can punch harder than pajkic (had to look that up) and cunningham.
the question is what has fury got to beat thompson? he was scared to fight price let alone thompson
Re: Fury - Thompson
Price hits far harder than Thompson. Price just has terrible punch resistance, hence him falling over at the first significant shot.limey wrote:SamWise72 wrote:Thompson might be top 10,but he's also complete pony. The price victory flatters him. He's a fighter with mega injuries and little ambition.limey wrote:Because they are nobodies and cruiserweights... Thompson is a top 10 fighter

Re: Fury - Thompson
Fury would never box Thompson. Thompson is just another heavyweight Tyson Fury ridicules while he signs to fight handpicked journeymen/calls himself the most dangerous fighter on the planet.
Re: Fury - Thompson
Is this fight going to be made or a thereotical question?
Re: Fury - Thompson
Theoretical. You should know Thompson is too much of a risk for fury
Re: Fury - Thompson
Yeah I think Tony would beat him personally I havent seen anything from Fury to make me think he could be world level.

Re: Fury - Thompson
Thompson stopping Price twice is the best thing that couldve happened for Fury, all he has to do if the TT fight comes off is box how he did againt Johnson then he wins it at a canter IMO

Re: Fury - Thompson
if Fury takes it seriously, he wins by wide decision. if he clowns and drops his hands, he goes down.
Re: Fury - Thompson
I think that's a great summary. You never know what Tyson will show up.keithmoonhangover wrote:if Fury takes it seriously, he wins by wide decision. if he clowns and drops his hands, he goes down.
Re: Fury - Thompson
I'd like to see this fight but I'd go for fury to win late or wide points

Id like to see this fight but gotta go for fury late or wide points
Re: Fury - Thompson
This. Thompson isn't all that, Price was on top in both fights but had his own weaknesses exposed. It would be a good match up, although quite possibly a dull fight, but Tyson has a good work rate and Thompson is very lazy. Fury wide UD for me although I wouldn't be stunned to see him on the deckcolumbo wrote:I think that's a great summary. Re: Fury - Thompson
Fury is a useless boxer, but still better than Thompson, who is just horrible. All Fury has to do is stick out his job and throw the occasional right, a la Wlad, and he wins with ease. Thompson isn't really a big puncher, and whilst I know Tyson 's chin isn't great, he's game and would get up and win. Pulev showed that Thompson is essentially very easy to outbox. Pulev is much better than Fury, but Fury is good enough. What a crock the heavy division is right now.
