There is an interesting point somewhere in here that the Poppy has moved from the memorial to those killed in the Great wars, to a glorification of our 'heroes' at the front in modern day combat

It is interesting and it is wrong; it goes from remembering those long dead to absolving Governments and the fighting forces for their foreign adventures; it tries to make any questioning disrespectful.

I agree, fighting an elite army like the Germans is much more brave, then villagers, women and children, does not the money from the poppies go to the military now or is it the government ?

I think it should be remembered that intelligence takes various forms. He was "intelligent" enough to figure out and stop Hall, Aaron, that Contender guy and a few others. Blimey, I'd forgotten he was Brit Champ.

Rubbish, he can punch at times, but because of his style he threw a lot of arm punches and he an intelligent guy, just makes some bad moves outside the ring sometimes.

I think British muslims have a genuine grievance against the British and US Governments; Small may be a dupe and a patsy but he's not wrong that ordinary muslims have been killed in there 1,000's by British and US forces and he's not wrong that the wealth of muslim countries has been carved up by well connected US and British interests. If I'd got family and friends in those countries and knew people who'd been killed, maimed or tortured then I'd be angry as well.

No it doesn't and Sharia law won't ever be implemented here; the people that call for it ought to move abroad where it is in place; when they call for all sorts of crazy stuff it makes it more difficult for people to recognise that they do have genuine grievances and wrong has been done to them. I think it's because they are utterly powerless against the whole thing that makes them some out with stupid and crazy things.

That's a very good point and also they get to see news from different sources than SKY news or BBC; many also have family members who have suffered terribly and that also tends to radicalise.

It is pal and my father in law was in the paras for 25 years and did about 10 in Ireland and he told me some right stories of beating the fornicate out of young lads who'd been out and doing all sorts of stuff - he weren't talking shite either, he got a big medal for some of the stuff he did.

Converts or not, all true practicing islamists are radicals, they see non believers as the enemy and believe that one day they will conquor all and see their religion and people dominate the planet. For the rest of us, be we aethiests, christians, jews, when they get their way we will all come to the realisation that their is no such thing as a peaceful muslim.
