It's been done to gift Paul Smith a British Title. I hope the board refuse to sanction it. Ok if there's literally nobody else available Webb would have to do but when Fielding is fighting on the same bill how can the board sanction that as being the best fight available at the weight.

I think Fielding would beat Smith; I think Fielding is full of nerves but boxes very well 'scared'; Smith is still a very good fighter but must be fed up with the grind by now, I think Fielding would win on points and the point that jack made above is very pertinent and ought to be asked and answered at a board meeting.

I think fielding would bust him up on a late stoppage 10-11 if he had it in him.
Smith ain't a bad size but he seems slow with his feet & has never got out of the habit of loading up.

Saying that though, how did Rendall Munroe get to fight for the european title when he hadnt fought at the weight before?!

Smith has got a horrible counter hook though and Fielding stands up tall; it'd be a good bout and both ought to be paid well, it'll about finish the loser off.

Process of elimination. I don't think he deserved it but 3 or 4 turned it down before it got down to Munroe, his reputation got him it in the end. British Title is devalued when the 2 best domestic fighters are boxing on the same bill but not against each other. The board should have ordered Fielding v Smith after Fielding beat Blacledge who Smith was due to fight

He'd lose power on it throwing it up plus fielding does have a good stance & leans back on his Blackfoot well & ain't easy to tag.smith can't out jab him or move in fast enough on him but then lil bro is providing him with great sparring.

I don't dislike smith as it may appear but I can't stand the way all this talk of I want one more etc. planning before he goes on for world honours.

The board haven't approved Paul Smiths planned defence against Tobias Webb.

Would love Hearn to swap Webb for Fielding on March 15th but seems really unlikely even though there is still time as it is 4 weeks and both will have been in training since after New year anyway.

Will Smith give up the title ?

Be a real shame if this fight doesn't happen now as its class domestic fight IMO.

Smith will be more miserable than ever with this news, the other 3 brothers seem like sound guys, he never fails to be a grumpy git

This is great news...hearn needs to step up and make fielding v smith for the british/commonwealth and webb v dodson as an eliminator for both belts.

Smigga wanted a easy touch to win Lonsdale outright, then Feilding-Callum Smith fight for vacant title once he vacates
Hes seroiusly values his worth if he thinks he can win a title above Brit level... Cant stand the bloke!!

Gallagher & Hearn must be blowing smoke up his ass!! Probably in order to firm up the bros.

I'm not even sure if he's that great at domestic level. It is a poor division domestically & waiting on Callum & bulligioni to come through which ain't ling

That's the first time I've seen either of you say anything bad about anyone, he must really rub people up the wrong way.
