Wayne Alexander

Post by Boxingmad »

Can anyone, in particular Boxingchat, shed any light on why Wayne Alexander has not been seen for a while? What with the Takaloo V Magee contest going tits up, it would have been a great opportunity to showcase the nearest thing we have to Nigel Benn on a big TV bill such as the Dec 10 card.

It's a waste of huge punching ability such as Alexander's. He may just not want to or be ready to fight, but with punching power such as his, I'd relish the chance to appear on a big show.

Alexander in trouble, teetering on the ropes getting pounded..then...BOSH!!! Wayne comes out with a haymaker like you've never seen!

That could be the case if SN would give the kid an opportunity. Time is definately not on his side. :box:

I don't think Warren likes his attitude and is treating Alexander like shit. Probably offering him toss all money for crap fights against no bodys and Alexander keeps turning them down.

Alexander is one of the 'who needs em' types, who often get shelved. Too dangerous to be given a shot at anybody of note. It sucks, I think he is a good puncher.

Its a disgrace that this promoter wastes domestic class (maybe better) talent like this. He deserved to lose Hatton for screwing up so many careers. Hopefully he'll now have to work harder with the fighters he does have. Say what you want about Don King but at least his fighters get fights. How many fighters has this man frozen out of getting any real fights?
