All I'll say is thank god he isn't fighting someone like Lucas Browne. At about 245 Fury would eat Browne alive but weighing this it wouldn't surprise me to see him get turned over by someone like that.

Fury has cut corners and took a fight 5 weeks than originally planned, Peter should never of let Tyson get them heavy over the xmas period, luckily Fury opponent isn't that good, but he will make it interesting if hes still there after 7 rounds and fury fitness comes into play. As for the main event don't expect anything other than Johnson coming to survive and lose a points decision. (I will probably switch over after 6 rounds)

Tyson is going to get badly caught out one of these days if he rocks up for a fight carrying 20-25 lbs. I wonder whether all that dietary discipline Peter put in place has fallen off the agenda again; Tyson does have that bad track record of eating a lot of rubbish which I thought had been resolved.

In 5 years time Tyson Fury could look back and think David Haye who?? Right now Fury probably doesn't have a pot to p*ss in, but with the Klitsckos soon gone, and those world class physical attributes, my opinion is that the big bloke is sitting on a potential gold-mine. It would be a crazy thing to do to go on any prolonged binges of necking pints and eating sh*t.
He might now eat all the right supplements and diet, like pretty boy Wladmir, but that's no reason why he can't aspire to it. he's still a very young man at 25 - in fact - provided he doesn't eat too much sh*t - there's no reason why in his weight category he needs to be on a diet in the first place.
I don't think his people will allow him to chuck his one chance at riches down the pan, personally.

I like Fury and he is entertaining but I cannot see how he is going to be a megastar. He already has plenty of dough anyway don't he? His family are pretty wealthy.

His attributes are overstated and mainly consist of being huge, with fast hands for his size and having plenty of courage. That will get you far in today's heavyweight division to be fair!

I'm a fan but just don't think he is good enough to go the whole hog.

Abusing his body won't do him any favours. Travellers tend to mature very early usually, and seeing as he looked like he was 30 back in his teens, it could well happen with him. No need to speed the process up by binge eating and drinking.

I love Fury and am a big fan but I wouldn't attempt to deny he talks utter rubbish and probably has no control over what is coming out of his mouth. I don't mean it to be insulting - he is a natural talker and I think he knows full well that it is an asset, in terms of marketing himself, being interesting and all that. There is no consistency. The other day he was saying that skill means little, and as long as he is tough and can get up from a knockdown, his toughness will get him through any fight. I was a bit gutted, I want him to do well and would rather hear him talk about improving his skills. If he really does think that, he should watch Ward vs Froch.
