Very interesting isn't it imo Fielding will pull out of purse bids. His team hav never sounded confident and always played down the fight. They hav been happy to wait for smith to win the title outright then make their move.

Glad the Smith/Webb fight isn't being made for the belt, a real stinker that was. Interesting to see what they will do for the echo arena. Hope toys aren't thrown out of pram....

Pleased Smith Webb wasn't approved. It is a joke Fielding and Smith were on the same bill not against each other and good work by the board stepping in. They should swap and have Webb and Dodson face each other in an eliminator fight............... but doubt that will happen even though there is time.

Bit pointless BJS and Blackwell fighting again so reckon BJS may vacate. However Eubank pussied out of a final eliminator with Nick last year.

Also hope Butcher v Sathcell rematch happens Butcher was on the wrong end of a hometown decision last time.

Smith to vacate. Has misplaced ideas he can win a World title, so a loss to Rocky Fielding wont do him any good at his age.

What are they doing at middleweight? Saunders has already beaten Blackwell and would do so again, plus Blackwell hasn't done anything since to become mandatory. Ryder has been given an eliminator straight after losing in a mandatory challenge for the title. I swear that sometimes they just put fights on there for the sake of it, when sometimes there's no one deserving of eliminators or mandatory shots, or there's other fighters more deserving.

With all the quality in the middleweight division, they can't come up with anyone better then Blackwell, who has fought and lost twice for the british title, I would rather see a rematch with Ryder, who I thought beat Billie jo last time, Adam Etches is a strong lad and Chris Eubank jr would add some spice.

I wouldnt mind seeing Ryder vs Eubank jnr. Eubank isnt willing to fight anyone with a pulse by the looks of things though.

Mandatory for Liam Smith, can't see him getting through that one, but he will still be young enough to come again if he does lose though.

Good to see the board pulling the plug on Paul 'El Miserable' Smith's fight, no doubt a few dummies will have been spat out after that, I've no doubt Fielding wants it, he's just been very respectful towards Smith throughout, Fast Car should find Dodson a new opponent and get this one on instead.

I agree he is improving fast, seems to be getting stronger every fight, he could beat Smith if he gives angles, but he don't want to walk straight up to him like Thompson did, will be a close fight, if it does happen, both have good chins and are strong.

Much prefer Rocky v Smith hope it gets made can't see Smith vacating think Rocky would win myself. Why the board have opted for Blackwell ahead of O'Kane, Eubank and Ryder is madness. It would be great rematch with Ryder and a lot of people thought John Ryder done enough to win in the last fight. Etches would be a better option as well.
