Rumour has it that these two are gonna duke it out for the, now vacant, EBU strap in april.

Blandamuras record looks padded but the EBU is a good belt to get and was hoping BJS would pick it up this year.

Hope he can get a stoppage in this one.

Blandamura has already won the EBU belt, he won it against Marcus Nadar, he throws lots of shots, but got really tired in his last fight when he won the title, Billie should win this, he is the better boxer.

In fact Blandamura was out on his feet, just hanging on, don't know how he hung on, good matchmaking this.

I watched that fight it was a few weeks back. Saunders should beat him with a bit to spare.

If my theory that talent-wise, Saunders=Anthony Farnell, then he may struggle badly or lose.

Your theory is wrong. His talent has got him this far, it's other things that need tweaking.

Blandamura did indeed win an EBU belt from Nader a few weeks ago (I'm never sure of exactly which one). Nader isn't known a big puncher but still made the Italian work for the win. BJS has a bit more to offer than Nader so it makes for a cracking contest.

Your posts are normally pretty sound, I just cant see where this analogy comes from.

You just can compare the two. Saunders has arguably already achieved more even discounting his Am pedigree.

How has Anthony Farnell come into, this ? Farnell never had the talent Saunders has, Saunders is a boxer, Farnell was not a boxer but a brawler, they are also at different levels.

I had a soft spot for arnie cos (by his own admission) he was all heart but very limited. It just meant everything to him and you could see it everytime he fought. I think he himself would admit his talents didn't compare to BJS

I'm just making the observation that if fair domestic fighters like Ryder are taking him to the wire, then clearly he is going to struggle in international class. And like Arnie, he seems something if a volume, powder-puff puncher.

Just checked its the EU one not the proper European title. Bursak had that but vacated.

It was for the EBU-EU title, not the full European title.

The EBU is the European title, the lesser title is the EU, Nader was champion of the EU title, Blandamura beat Nader for that title and the vacant EBU title vacated by Bursak, so Blandamura will defend against Billie Joe.

Blandamura and Nader didn't fight for the EBU title, they fought for the EU title, sanctioned by the EBU, the EU-EBU belt.

No doubt Blandamura will pull out a week or 2 before fight night to be replaced by an EvenBlanderMura.

Ho ho ho.

Maybe a look at the belt will clear this up? This photo I took after the Nader win.

the ebu-european belt is vacant, Bursak was stripped of the belt after the Flechter fight apparently.
