With a name like Eubank its a bloody wonder that people arent queueing up to fight him, unless they are and he keeps turning them down, either that or he simply wants too much money to fight anyone.

Its apparent he's nowhere near as good as his dad and being overshadowed by that fact possibly does not help his ego or enthusiasm to try to build upon his own merits. Its a shame because when he first started out I was really looking forward to watching his progression to the big fight. Its not going to happen with the looks of it.

I thought Ryder just did enough to beat Billie jo, he really bullied him about at times, Etches is a very strong lad, but a bit stiff and muscular, he has not been tested yet, so we will see, in the Murray mold.

He has turned down Butler for the English, Blackwell for a British Eliminator and a decent offer for BJS fight so unless I am mistaken its not about waiting for titles or money .......So maybe he doesnt fancy his chances

He reminds of Sugar Ray Leonard at times, when he puts his combinations together, you can see he has done a lot of work in the states, not on defense though, still gets hit a lot, but I think he can go place with the right fights, needs to stop copying his dad's antics.

I am a big fan of Chris Eubank jnr and I think he can go places, but in what way does he remind you of Sugar Ray Leonard - in that he gets into the ring wearing shorts and boxing gloves ?

Ha Ha, His dad took him to Leonard, worked on a few things with him, you can see it if you look close and don't look at all the posturing, but I did not say everything and he does not do it as good as Leonard, but you can see it style wise, but yes Leonard was the man.

Eubank junior is not sugar ray leonard or his dad tbh - but i think I kind of see what someone else maybe thinking if i am not mistaken.

3 things from what i've seen of eubank junior

1.) he does have the killer instinct to go for the ko when the opportunity presents itself - yes he needs bigger tests.
2.) I like his combinations - not predicatable he does switch from head to body and vice versa very well and most importantly "picks his shots" quickly - throws uppercuts nice too.
3.) he can mix it up - he doesn't mind taking a shot to get his shot in.

Other things I like - his dad sent him to america to learn boxing etc. - so he hasn't sat in his comfort zone - he has beaten
everyone in front of him in the pro ranks - now he needs to put his foot on the gas and step it up.

Hasn't he had a word with the hearns? - or have they got too many middleweights on their books?

Nothing he does is remotely like or anywhere near as good as Sugar Ray. Nor will it ever be.

That's a big part of why Eubank gets stick, he talks the talk, but when offered the chance to walk the walk, stays right where he is and turns it down.

I agree with this post. Eubanks 1st year as a pro was quite good in just over a year had 9 fights one of which was Bradley Pryce.

Then he gets into a spat with BJS saying he would KO him in 6 rounds blah blah blah. The Board had him and Blackwell as a final eliminator at an ideal time in his career and what does he do ??? Pull out an not fight for ages. He had 6 months out of the ring. Chris is 24 and if he is going to acheive anything better get a move on.

Pulling out of final eliminators is not good for progression for someone who does seem to have ability.

Agree with last post. and some other points..

people do have to sell themselves with the occasional trash talk, but i really don't like it tbh - if you give it the large
follow through with it sign up for a fight with whoever u reckon you can beat - otherwise shut up..

Bit of trash talk when theirs a grudge match/a lot on the line etc. - cool and I get it etc... but as said put up or shut up and get on with it.

I have not watched billy joe saunders yet - I know where have I been?? ! - but someone who knows
boxing far more than I do/involved with it reckons he is (bjs) the real deal and will go a long way - just checked up
and he's british and commonwealth champ - presumably going for the european championship next? - and fair play he's
doing everything right from what his record says.

Getting back on track I reckon Chris Eubank jnr is maybe 2/3 fights away from fighting BJS having done my homework and BJS on another level at the moment.

Again, eubank snr worked with barry hearn? - so can't "dad" have a word with barry hearn and get him eubank junior matched up?

Eubank senior also left Hearn senior and ended up with FW. If Matchroom wanted him, they'd have had him by now.
