Gate 20,000 at say £75 average = £1.5m

TV money and sponsors (Showtime, 2am ITV) = £750k

Less venue hire, undercard and event staff = (£250K)

So probably £2m of which FW will probably want around 20% return on investment risk = £400k so £1.6m for Lacy & Calzaghe combined, probably 50/50 as both are champs. Doesn't sound right though as didn't Calzaghe get 900k for Veit?

If anyone has some realistic figures i.e for TV please stick them in 8)
The combined TV money for ITV & Showtime is surely be more than £750k for this fight.

No idea how much but I would say a fair bit more than that.

To be fair... IF (and its a big IF) this bill goes ahead, then I would definately rather pay £70 for the cheap seats than the £50 that Ian Darke said was the cheapest for Hatton vs Maussa. Two reasons.

1) More competitive main event.

2) Better undercard, even though it hasn't all been announced.... its looking like Maccrinelli vs Nelson will be there and anyway it cannot be alot worse than the Hatton card.

Perhaps Ian Darke got the prices wrong.

Anyone know who gets the beer/concession on these events? Beers at these events in the States go for £4+. I'd bet anything it's higher at MEN. 20,000 x at least one beer each can add up.

I have just contacted Ticketmaster and got a lower tier of the 103 block, row A for £100. For anyone who's been to the MEN before they will know this is a good seat. You're the first row of the raised section and get a good view of the ring plus close to where the boxers come in and leave.

My advice, look at the seating plan to see where you want to sit then call Ticketmaster for the best options.

I'm thinking that might of been done on purpose to hype up some hate for the fight possibly.

If it happens that is.

You'll have a great view of Michael Gomez challenging for the IBO Inter-Continental title when Calzghe pulls out.

:D

Gomez is actually up for the WBU Lightweight title, he was very fortunate that it was vacant, and that he was ranked high enough to earn this prestigious shot

BTW the last champ Tontcho Tontchev never defended the crown, he vacated it to fight the 1-4 dangerman Dmitry Yacubchik.

When did he vacate, it was with him in the celebrations. He still had two belts with him after giving the WBA belt to his old man.

A bit cheeky that of Hatton, knowing full well the WBA will be asking for it back immedately to give him a nice and shiny Super WBA belt. (only J/K, it was a grand jesture and his old man was choking up with bride).

just thought i would bring this topic up again.

I thought the tickets were expensive, no way was there 16 thousand there didnt look like there was even 10. and no way were the 50 pound tickets all gone. about 5 secitons on the lower tier by the ring walks were used at all.

but i thank my friends for my free ring side ticket :D

thought the tickets should of been half the price like they used to be for the hatton days then it.
