Mike was a fairly slow starter, I think Gerald might last 3 or 4 rounds.

In general, but Weaver seldom fought anyone as wide open as Cooney.

True, as soon as he hits him the end is near. His jab would check that chin.

Weaver did have a very hard jab.

The Holmes loss was a sustained beating over 13 rounds in which Cooney took a myriad of hard right crosses, uppercuts and well placed left jabs, and still threw shots back.. But somehow people are picking him to crumble the first time weaver hits him. Tate didn't have a great chin either, but he didn't drop in one.

Tate beat Bobick, Knoteze, Coetzee and Mercado. Cooney wouldn't have even stepped in the ring with those guys. And you probably don't know this, but Weaver was a harder puncher than Holmes.

So what are you saying, that Tate had a great chin and that Weaver would have stopped Cooney the first time he hit him? And BTW making some big sh-t out of anyone beating Bobick and Mercado is pretty laughable,

Those are exactly the type of guys Cooney would have never fought. He was a slow, clumsy, fragile protected HW who never beat a top ranked HW. The guys I mentioned were all better fighters than anyone Cooney beat.

Are you related to Cooney?

Actually given the kind of glass chins that those guys had ( the same kind you think Cooney has ), I'd think they'd be an attractive proposition.

Ill grant you he was protected, but the rest is utter crap.

who never beat a top ranked HW.
I already proved that point debunked. And you had no response.

Including Jeff Simms who lost to Jimmy Young whom Cooney hammered pillar to post a year before? Or reggie Gross who spent most of his career at Cruiserweight, lost to journeyman and in his first fight at heavy got sparked by an 8 fight Ferguson? Duane Bobbick who's chin was made of pure glass and who btw faced FAR more tomato cans than Cooney ever did... Your just talking random smack

I think you're getting rather confused. I didn't mention Sims or Gross as one of the 4 Tate victims. Take a deep breath and relax.

Cooney wasn't clumsy and fragile. You're a really funny guy.

He certainly isn't related to Trevor Berbick, I've never heard anyone say he had a glass chin before.

You've mentioned sims several times on other threads as being someone you'd pick to beat Cooney. And you and saad have been picking Gross to beat Cooney. Are you really serious when you say this sh-t or are you trying to stir the pot? I mean reggie "f-cking" gross and Jeff Sims? You must think Cooney was a bum, and if that's so then I guess there's no point in arguing with you anymore....
