Sky or BN should sign up Eddie Chambers ASAP

Chambers is very good on the mic, better than most of the people on either firm's payroll. Please give him a job.

I thought the commentary on BN was superb tonight. The whole event had a good flow to it. Eddie Chambers stole the show and the three man commentary team(Rawling, Chambers, Jones) was a refreshing change compared to the dated feel of Sky's current double man act(Watt, Hawling). Rawling worked as the anchor and both Jones and Chambers were allowed to give an honest opinion without over hyping or shouting down the mic, they blended well.

Getting Fury inbetween rounds on the Chisora fight was priceless. 'Well, its shit, init' and 'Like a couple of bums fighting in the street' were standouts.

I think last nights show was one of allegedly worst. Some of the boxing was very boring. Especially the skeete fight then the chisora.. In saying that the commentary was excellent and as usual you stay tuned to see was Tyson is going to say next. I enjoyed the 2 Fury fight and Frank buglioni fight

Chambers was outstanding, I hope they get him back. He was so knowledgable and interesting, I almost forgot how bad he was last year - he had a performance and loss so poor, it pretty much ruined his career at the top level.

The Americans are the best on the mike's, great personalities as well, I like the American commentary on Henneseys shows as well, they make the fights more exciting, too much bias with British commentators towards the home fighters, spoils it for me.

The Chisora fight was dull, but it was at least a genuine matchup. Chambers was great.

Americans fighters are usually good on the mike as they have the gift of the gab and although i didnt think Chambers was bad as such, its just that i dont think the words flowed the way they do from most yanks

Barry Jones is getting better and better with experience IMO :salut:

Don't think he is a big enough name to be here on Sky anyway on a permanent basis - they typically like their world champions on the mic or doing pundatary. Baring the odd active fighter (Smith / Bellew) doing a guest stint, most a former world champions.

allegedly - maybe, but I like Barry Jones.

That had never even crossed my mind but I suppose you've got a point, sadly. That Chambers was, in my view, more lucid, interesting and insightful than any other co-commentator on a British channel for a long time counts for little if a tongue-tied, droning big-name bore is after a job with one of his tongue-tied, droning, big-name mates.

I also like Barry Jones.

I also thought Chambers was a good guy, he gave interesting views and was pretty insightful about what was happening in the fights.
