Howard Winstone vs Davey Moore
If Winstone had gotten his title shot earlier when Davey Moore was champion who would have won ?

Winstone for me is the best featherweight to come
from the British Isles but his style was made for Moore.
Winstone wouldn't have been able to keep off the maurauding
vicious hitting Moore and would have got stopped in about 8 rounds.
No disgrace there though because not many people would have
got the better of Moore.

I think Moore would be a clear favorite if they fought in either early 63 or late 62, but I think Winstone would stand a good chance of lasting the distance. Afterall he went 15 rounds twice and then 12 rounds with Vicente Saldivar, who I'd take over Moore for agression, not to mention that he was a Southpaw to boot. Obviously though the argument can be made that Winstone was more experienced by then. I kinda see Moore winning 10-5 on rounds.

than Moore, Moore was probably one of the hardest hitting
featherweights in history, if you look at Salvidars record
a lot of his fights went into the later rounds, he never KO'd
top class fighters within the first half of the fight, what Salvidar
was as well as being a great fighter was a very fit fighter with
unnatural stamina.
Moore was a KO puncher in the highest sense, don't forget
Leroy Jeffery KO'd Winstone in 2 rounds so Winstone wasn't
adverse to getting stopped so for me, I think it would be unlikely
that Winstone would have heard the final bell after 15 rounds.
