Craig Evans Vs Joe Murray WBO European S/F Title April
Good fight IMO, 2 very good technical boxers, Evans a very sharp, good southpaw from Wales who boxes out of the currently booming Tony Borg's gym along side Gary Buckland, Lee Selby, etc, some great talent in that gym and Evans is another one that will show that IMO. It will be tough though against Murray who is a very good young fighter also, but hasn't reached his potential IMO for different reasons. Just wondered how everyone would see this going ?

Very good fight. Saw evans a few times nice boxer looked very fast with a bit of a dig. Not many lads have blown douig curren out and he did in a round. Murray top am who's built a decent pro record was unlucky against walsh in a very close fight after the long lay off and 2 not so good performances (naylor and davies). Will look forward to this one. Imo murray on points.

Curran fought a week prior to the Evans fight in a tough 10 rounder... Was only there for a quick pay I thought! Evans on the other hand though is a very good hard hitting southpaw but will struggle with the weight I believe. ;) Joe Murray is very slick but may struggle early rounds but defo a great even fight I believe! Styles make fights!!!

Evans will be too quick and too sharp for Murray. This is one of those fights where Evans - Should be a lightweight and Joe Murray should be a featherweight.. That may well come into play with whoever makes weight best.. I'm going for Evans wide pts

Is the fight confirmed ? Thought Murray boxed very well against Liam Walsh. Would fancy him on that showing.

Curran is a tough lad, I remember when Troy (James) fought him, he literally bounced him about the ring from the 2nd round of the fight, he took some serious punishment, but survived.
I know what Ronnie's saying about the tough fight Curran was in the week before he fought Evans, a tough 10 rounder at late notice against Terry Flannigan, if I recall for English title, so do think that played a massive part in Evans stoping him, and it was a retirement from Curran if I remember rightly again. Only ever been stopped genuinely the once, real tough lad.

I boxed Murray over 8 with not that much notice. Technically good:
Didn't have much of a dig and though struggled with fitness.
But then he done very well against Walsh.
Never seen Evans make that weight where as joe makes its well.
Think how Evans makes the weight is important.
Murray back foot pick him off tactics will win fight on close points imo

Yh it's on, I've been told by the trainer of one of the fighters last week during a phone call he made to me.maley1984 wrote:@boxingcutsman how do u see this fight going. And has it been confirmed havnt seen anything about it anywhere else.
If Evans is has good has I think he is he beats Murray IMO, but this is his first real test so we'll see.
Murray starts a bit slow & has been seen to mentally switch off and struggle with fitness over the distance, but in saying that he boxed well in the Walsh fight, He's got bags of ability, he's especially good at the Amatuer in and out stuff and pick potting shots off the back foot, but like DannyNaz said he doesn't really punch and think Evans is has good technically and even sharper if I'm honest, and carries the heavy punch, but we'll see how he makes the weight, like already been said, if he makes it no problem and is still sharp ans strong he beats Murray in a good close fight.
