Agree with every word of that. Its a shame it wouldn't be a final eliminator for the WBC title, as that would make things more interesting for the future - a Brit getting a mandatory shot at Stiverne, Arreola, Wilder or whoever's the next WBC champ. It's the shadow of Wlad that removes a bit of intrigue from a WBO eliminator.

The thing is, even if they fight a final eliminator, they'll still have to get in line. Wlad's got mandatories lined up already (Leapai and Pulev) and then I'm certain he'll want the winner of Stiverne v Arreola. As much as I like Fury, it's a very easy night's work for Wlad, so he might put Fury before the WBC strap. If Chisora wins, he'll be waiting in line for a while. The WBA regular title might be the one to go for.

As much as I hate splintered titles, having almost the exact opposite - Wladimir holding all the belts except one - absolutely sucks as far as I am concerned. I wish he'd retire and free up the titles, we would then have some very interesting match ups.

Leapai would be cannon fodder for Chisora, Fury and Price in my opinion. I'd honestly pick Anthony Joshua to mow him down in a couple of rounds. I saw his win over Boystov, in terms of it being a world title eliminator, I thought they eliminated each other from contention, as their performances highlighted the gulf between where they are at, and where Wlad is at.

Losing the outstanding fighter in a division isn't a good thing.

These interesting match ups between the pretenders should be taking place anyway. Earn the right to face the top dog. We shouldn't penalise Wlad because nobody can compete with him right now.
There isn't a competitive fight out there for him as it stands.

In their last fights neither impressed and the fact that people are interested in this fight or saying that the rematch will be decent just speaks volumes about the state of the Heavyweight division.
