Yeah you have to be a pretty desperate Morrison fan to try and make a case that he got screwed in that fight.

That fight ruled, one of my best friends was a huge Morrison fan right from the start of his ESPN and TNF coming up bouts. So I always cheered against him. I was going apeshit during this and he was just sitting there startled.

True, his draws were KO1 wins in rematches. (Well, one rematch and one prequel). The Great John L wrote:Dokes wasn't a very hard puncher but because of his hand speed and combination punching he could at times score surprise knock downs. At his best I’d take Dokes by comfortable decision or possibly a mid rounds TKO after scoring a few knockdowns.

The strangest part is that both draws were gratuitous in his favor. Especially Ocasio, he kicked Michael's ass and got screwed at home.

When you have Don King in your corner, the sky is the limit. As it was with Michael.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:The strangest part is that both draws were gratuitous in his favor. Especially Ocasio, he kicked Michael's ass and got screwed at home.

I wonder if Jaws was paid to lay down in the rematch, so not to disrupt the King's plans for Dokes.Nile4000 wrote:When you have Don King in your corner, the sky is the limit. No way, he got tagged.
Re: Tommy Morrisson v. Michael Dokes
Possible, but Michael did tag him with that hook.I think Ocasio admitted he never saw the punch.drunkenpiper36 wrote:I wonder if Jaws was paid to lay down in the rematch, so not to disrupt the King's plans for Dokes.Nile4000 wrote:When you have Don King in your corner, the sky is the limit. Just a note on Ocasio. He wasn't a class fighter, but you had to be a class fighter to beat him. He was a tough nut. Gave a lot of good men some problems and was pretty dog gone good cruiser weight too.Possible, but Michael did tag him with that hook.I think Ocasio admitted he never saw the punch.

That's what we were talking about: the worst versions of both fighters.
