I remember watching his penultimate fight on Sky against David Walker. Walker was an amateur star, who'd seemed a bit suspect in the pros. I remember Fearon scored a couple of early knock-downs before running out of steam in 4. The post fight interview with Walker was amusing. I think he said something along the lines of, 'I was really surprised. Spence is usually shit!'

Fearon is a prick, carries himself off as some kind of boxing historian with a 'ghetto swag' he failed to win an area title, his 'Hard Knocks' Promotions were signed up to a 6 fight deal with Premier Sports to my knowledge he fulfilled 1 fight then disappeared, the man is a joke his wasteman 'ghetto talk' makes him look even more of prick, this guy can disappear as far as I'm concerned.

I'm not going to be to popular here, but I kind of like him ! I know where some of you are coming from and trust me I want Curtis to win against Hamilton just to shut spencer up, but I think his a hard working manager/promoter who I'd rather have on my side !

I think he is definitely a motor mouth and there are times he can be incredibly annoying but he does know his stuff.

I think it's a case of listening to him and picking out the good things to what he says, as a lot of it can be ignored.

There are times on T2T that I think 'Im not in the mood for this today' and switch off.

I won some tickets for a hard knocks show at the York Hall & when I went to reception the tickets werent there so the receptionist rang him & he came down & gave us some VIP wristbands & stood talking with us for about 10 minutes & was sound. But I suppose the difference there was that there were no cameras for him to play to.

I assumed he was playing to an audience but have never met him, but sounds like that is the case.

I don't ever believe he's being "real" whenever I see him on TV. He'd be better suited to panto than sports broadcasting.

I don't mind him, I can see how he'd wind some people up but I do think a lot of it is an exaggerated persona - like a larger then life type.

Can't claim to know him, but really enjoy him on the podcast and don't quite understand the level of derision on here. He was brave enough to step between the ropes and enjoy a decent career including that cracker with Walker, clearly loves his boxing and seem to be an enthusiastic champion of a lot of British fighters. That's all good with me.

We need characters like him in boxing. It makes it so much more interesting. This is the entertainment business now. look at wrestling, UFC and all the rest. Boxing is competing with these sports and people like SF is good for boxing love him or hate him.

Welcome to boxrec.

iLikebeer hates Jamie Oliver with a passion. I think he has him above Hitler and Pol Pot on his list of most hated figures.
