McDonnell/Wood - Saturday, any views?
McDonnell/Wood - Saturday, any views?
Have to confess too seeing almost next to nothing of these guys, looks a decent fight on paper all be it not featuring the actual top in the division in the country as those guys have moved
on a bit, its still a huge night for the two of them and it should be a good scrap.
Anyone seen much of them, any strong views or opinions, would be interesting to know what we may expect.

I've seen Gavin box a few times, live. It's hard not to talk about him without mentioning his brother but they're not a million miles apart in terms of style, speed or power.
He's got a good engine on him and boxes well.
Wood, I don't think I've seen him fight, so can't comment.

Ive not seen anything on McDonnell so cant comment on him.
I know leigh, ive seen most of his fights and know he's well schooled, lives the boxing life and the british title is the one he wants. Sharing the gym with kell brook and kid galahad wont hurt either.

How exactly does Wood live the life more than Mcdonnell?tallsdav wrote:wood all day. this will just highlight the difference between a fighter that lives the life and one that doesnt.
For me it's Mcdonnell by late stoppage or wide points win!
Re: McDonnell/Wood - Saturday, any views?
Well it didn't look like he made the weight easy.
A real pro boxer is a pro 365 days a year, not just the 6 weeks leading to a fight.

Just got home from hull, feel gutted for leigh , he was doing the business right up til the stoppage, he will be back and will become British champion. Credit to mcdonnell for a good comeback and finished well, I believe that those of u who hadn't seen leigh before will now know he is a genuine well skilled boxer . That was in all fairness his first real test but I know he will learn from it and become a better boxer overall. Gutted.

I get the feeling he gassed a bit and it came back to bite him. He showed a lot of talent though.damianhucker1 wrote:Just got home from hull, feel gutted for leigh , he was doing the business right up til the stoppage, he will be back and will become British champion.
