In other countries boxer have been raced to world titles often within 20 fights. Ever thought "maybe the western way isn't the best?"

Within 20 fights is more than doable if the fighter is talented, I'm just sick of people using a guy like Rigondioux (sp?) as an example and bemoaning other fighters who simply don't have his level of ability. There is a reason why new professional fighters aren't thrown in straight away, and that's because they'd lose to hardened professionals, even professionals who don't have anywhere near the level of ability they possess or may go on to show. The trainers and managers/promoters aren't daft, they know what they're doing.

Kosei Tanaka was thrown in with a world ranked guy on debut (and will fight another in his second contest), Tanaka is an 18 year old.
Takuma Inoue is said to be fighting a world ranked opponent in his second fight, he's an 18 year old
Masayoshi Nakatani claimed the OPBF title in fight #7, he's 24 and fighting at 135

I doubt you'd argue those guys have the talent of Rigondeux, and I'd be shocked if you're going to say Ohashi and Ioka don't know how to promote manage and train fighters...
