Agreed. There were 3/4 cracking fights. The Olympian wasn't great but the other fights were great value.

Expe can.......
It ended up being a good show, but if Coyle had walked all over Brizuela in the main event, as Hearn no doubt intended, would we have been saying the same things?

I'm curious to how much notice Brizuela had for the fight.

I think it was 6 weeks that we found out he was the opponent how long before then they knew we don't know. There's an IFL video from more than 4 weeks back where Coyle talks about the fight anyway so it's definitely at least that.

I hope so cos that's another thing you see too much in boxing generally.

It was an average card on paper, but it really delivered some thrills and spills.

Very satisfying indeed.

What more do you want from a show? 3 great fights with a lot of heart and some really good boxing on show. Loved it.

So it's not a good card based off of something that didn't happen?

Yeah that's a strange one! As I've said before, some people on these forums really do struggle to be positive about anything!

It was actually pretty good especially the Coyle fight.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the ref in Coyles fight. Coyle did about 3 low blows before getting a point deducted, Brizuela got a point deducted on his first low blow.

Coyle looked in real pain and still struggling around 8/9, ref let it go on, on the last knock down of Brizuela, he was clearly fine to go on and finish the fight, ref stopped it. I understand Tommy had the home crowd etc. But its another case of dodgy refereeing in favour of the Matchrooom fighter in my opinion.

:TU: , or should that be anything Matchroom related? Either way people need to lighten up.

Very true, they seem to be enemy number 1. Every pay per view is disputed and almost every card is labelled as poor or 1-sided. Don't get me wrong, they're far from perfect, but in my opinion British boxing is back on the rise and Matchroom are a part of that so fair play.
