Bet you've never boxed a round in your life, the fact he stepped back in the ring after breaking his jaw is testament to his courage, show some respect.

Sky usually prides itself on super slick production but tonight's set up was like the bits allegedly left on the cutting room floor.

Sorry but it's his fornicating job. I was almost killed in a house fire, using your logic I should be applauded for stepping foot into a house again...

How people can say he's not right I can't understand the confidence wasn't the same but Crawford beats him any night of the week burns will never be an elite fighter hard to say it as you can't help but like the guy

No shame in that at all. Burns has achieved a lot too, nobody would have picked him as a two weight world champion a few years ago. He's a class act as well.

He's not a wide mouth Broner pudendum type so why the Burns hate? He's had some really good wins and got beat by the better man tonight.

Ricky wasn't at his best tonight, but that wasn't because he was scared. that's a ridiculous concept. Crawford didn't allow him to get anything going. he was too slick, too quick and his timing made it impossible for Ricky to throw his combinations. you say you have boxed but I doubt you have been in the ring with a man who could outbox you the way Crawford outboxed Ricky. He wasn't scared of being punched, he just didn't want to miss and look foolish in front of the judges.

Burns took it like a man, Hearn knows that rematch is pointless hence why he skipped it and another route, Crawford isnt a hype job we seen that, He fought within himself also I feel and kept some in the tank due to it being his first 12 rounder. Hearn is away to cash in on the domestic market and have him in with crolla, Mitchell and potentially Murray. If im Burns avoid Flannigan like most lightweight seem to be doing as he has beating of Burns for me also. Hate for Burns comes from his coach's big mouth who proberly wont come on boxrec for a few weeks now.

Couldn't stand Jim Watt's commentary tonight! Fair and square the better man won and he just couldn't accept it that his fellow scot had come to end of the road as a world champion.

Got to say these Americans are so slick and at an elite level at such a young age, Ward, FMJ, Bradley add Crawford to that list too.

Hope Burns comes back though...although he probably wont be a world champion again. Wouldn't mind seeing Crolla up against him.

He was up for it, but to call him a pussy cat is unfair, no one who has the balls to step between the ropes and fight should ever be accused of being a coward.

Sorry but it's his effing job. I was almost killed in a house fire, using your logic I should be applauded for stepping foot into a house again...
So you don't expect him to be tentative after a serious injury and I'm sorry you were in a fire, hopefully everyone else got out safe, but I'd be surprised if you weren't a bit worried at times about things that catch fire, it's only natural. I've burnt myself (nothing major, especially when compared to a house fire) before through being stupid and I now flinch when I come into any kind of contact with anything remotely hot, even though they were only minor burns, it's just human nature, if you go through a painful experience, you try and avoid the cause of it and for Ricky, being hit on the jaw again may have brought back memories of the pain he went through against Beltran.

No one else was in the house, thankfully, though I spent a week in a coma. I realised it was a one off freak incident (police put it down to arson) and wasn't going to happen again. I'm not scared fire because of it. I tend to view it as "well I survived a fire in the past, odds are it'll not happen again and if it does...I know what to do...(scream like a girl, call the fire brigade and continue to scream...).

Hearn will tie Burns up with domestic fights with Crolla, Murray and possibly Mitchell rematch, then once those 3 fights done so says year and a half away hell try get Luke Campbell get Burns name on his record. That show was absolutly dreadful with one competitive fight! I understand the whole concept of hes working with Morrison but why the hell would you put such a dull show on, Its like amateur football where you play your mates. Put on a decent show doesnt matter who your manager is and dont use same guys every show. Simples.

I agree. I'm getting a bit bored of watching Joshua bowl over fat, six or seven inch shorter bums (has he even been hit yet?), Campbell chase around the ring and wear down nothing opponents and Ogogo do the same. Nothing against those guys per se but it hardly makes for riveting viewing.

I would love to see a Burns v Mitchell re-match.
