I mean they'll probably give him his belt back anyway. He didn't win it in the first place did he?
He just lost to Mikey Garcia, and then all of the sudden he's still got a Championship belt going into this fight? I assumed he was just an experienced fighter, but for promotional sake they slapped a belt on him.
corrales beat castillo when castillo came right weight..when he came in heavy, he destroyed corrales..just saying..2 weight classes above is a lot and salido still used dirty tactics and a dirty ref to barely win

It's been sent to all amateur greats.
Yeah...I mean honestly I tip my hat to Lomachenko he gave a great effort against a World Class Professional in his 2nd Pro Fight, and almost pulled it out down the stretch, but I mean...my gut would've told me that Salido was going to beat the crap out of this kid because the experience gap at the Pro level was just too wide and Salido is still basically in or near his prime. Last time I buy into an Amateur hype machine.
Doubtful that anybody attempts what Lomachenko attempted again anytime soon. Lomachenko probably won't have another world title attempt until he's got at least 10 or 12 wins under his belt.
Imagine what Rigo would do to him, right now. He just was not ready but it pisses me off that salido had to come in heavy.

Same here, and salt in the wound is I switched away from Salido because of the weight situation. I should have been more confident as a result, but it just pissed me off.

SALIDO LOST THE TITLE ON THE SCALES SO HE IS STILL EXWORLD CHAMPION AND THAT BELT IS HIS FOR LIFE. IF HE HAD LOST THE FIGHT HIS BELT WOULD OF GONE OVER TO THE RUSSIAN DURING THE PRESENTATION BUT AFTER THEY GO TO THE DRESSING ROOM HE HAS TO RETURN THE BELT TO SALIDO AND HE WOULD RECIEVE A NEW BELT LATER.
I am surprised by the verdict, but given the fact that he made Zahir Raheem look exciting by comparison in there, I'm a little less surprised.
I'm surprised he got as many rounds as he did, and even got the nod on one card. For the most part, I didn't see him doing jack shiit, to put it as politely as possible.

I don't blame Salido at all. His belt was meaningless, and it gave him the advantage in the fight which was probably enough to help him pull it out. Good for him, I guess.
