No Sky Commentry

Post by johnreilly »

I wish there was a way to switch of the commentry on Sky but keep the rest of the audio feed. I really hate how the commentators speak over the entrance music - I don't need to hear Jim Watt telling me the crowd is getting behind the fighter, I can hear that for myself! And I find their constant blathering through the fight very distracting.

No, but it does seem to be something that is requested a lot. Hopefully Sky are listening!

Red Button options

1) Watt
2) Fan Zone - 2 people who support a fighter each
3) Crowd noise only

Good idea, I'd definitely choose 3 though!

I think everyone would!!

Watched Saturdays fights in a pub where they asked if I wanted the sound on, told them I was quite happy not to!

Good idea, at least it would stop the minority on here dissing Jim Watt before the commentary has begun.

For me, I'd be number 1.

They could consider replacing Hawling he won't be a big loss, but Jimbo is still best in business.

Watt is not there on merit, it must be because he is part of the furniture.

He's definitely off the pace and is entering senile dementia.

Not as in "going cuckoo" but he clearly labouring points to the point where it's a very annoying habit for the viewers to endure as it certainly down to his advancing age.

Jim Watt used to be ok, he's lost me the last 6-12 months with some ludicrously one-sided, almost blind commentaries and scorecards. I think as a regular boxing watcher for the last 10-12 years I've just got sick of hearing his voice to be honest, sometimes it's just a change is needed to keep it fresh and they could do with that.
