Kell in his warm up fight for Porter takes on Mexican Welterweight Champ Alvaro Robles

http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxer

17(15)-2(2)

Should be a straightforward KO win :bag:

Robles seems a bit slow, square and open, but he swings for the fences and can bang, I think Brook will be too quick

He loads up too much and walks on to shots, that don't help either.

Still at least Robles has a punchers chance ? I think Brook will work off the jab and avoid getting hit and land some combinations off the front foot, he should stop Robles early, but remember Carson Jones first time around ? So he can't look past this guy.

Easy win for Brook. Anything else would be a dissapointment.

Such a pointless fight. What if Brook gets a bad cut or bad injury his world title fight is delayed yet again,

I wonder if Brook will be able to do better than the 40-something career lightweight Antonio Pitalua? Knock this fella down five or six times, maybe...?

It gets ordered at the start of April. Has to happen within a certain time frame after that.

Fair point but he needs activity and the Porter fight though mandatory isn't made yet.

Instead of this utterly pointless yet predictable fight why not just fight poter now? Make him an offer, poter has no fight lined up so why wait untill the summer? Porter has no reason not to fight him asap so he can get it out the way and look for bigger fights

agreed... bank both purses and put them towards Porters purse... main support to Froch/Groves

i get the impression Hearn wont invest in bringing the title over for brook... or brook wont commit to x amount of fights after he wins title

or maybe he (Hearn) doesnt think he can win

Apparently porters team will be announcing their next fight soon. If it Is a lucrative enough fight then there is no doubt that the IBF will be happy to delay the mandatory with Brook. Leaving Brook with plenty of time for a few more warm up fights.
