Oscar Larios v Israel Vasquez III
On the undercard of Taylor/Hop - third time round and 1-1 for these two, plus an IBF/WBC unification fight.
Imagine getting an undercard like that in the UK? Nah, me neither!
Vasquez takes Oscar's unbeaten record with a first round KO in 97, but Larios gets his revenge 5 years later with a TKO12 for the vacant title.
That was Israel's last loss, and he's gone onto claim a rival world title in the meantime.
Should be a great fight and hopefully Sky will show it tomorrow AM.
Maybe Quartey too - He's looking vunerable these days...

Larios is a lazy fighter - content to throw the occasional punches , that is when he is not 'up' for a fight. If he is 'up' for a fight then he can be exciting to watch as well as the toughest fighters around.
If you have seen the second fight between the two , you will know that this fight will be a classic. In the second fight , the amount of leather thrown was frighting as well as electrifying.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Larios will win the fight in a close 12 round decision.

Only just noticed this comment Tom and i am a bit surprised, from what i have seen of Larios ie is anything but a lazy fighter, he throws bunches of punches in a round. Vazquez caught him with a good barrage in the first round last night and it knocked a lot out of Larios, he didn't contest the stoppage too much, the commentators were probably right when they thought Larios was content to come back again and try another day.Podmore_Birmingham wrote:Larios is a lazy fighter - content to throw the occasional punches
