So they're selling the rubbish seats first huh?
Re: So they're selling the rubbish seats first huh?
But it just seems like huge amounts of tickets are getting into the hands of these arseholes before they actually go on sale to the general public and the only way that can happen is if authorised by the promotor or the venue.
Yeah but the promoter gets guaranteed sales then! The touts are the ones taking the risks. Cant see anything changing.
Obviously the promotor doesn't care but my point is more that the genuine fans are constantly missing out.

How much you gonna sell that extra ticket for mate? hahaclopixolacuphase wrote:Glastonbury dealt with the touts pretty effectively. You now have your face on the ticket. It's a nightmare to get one though, and I haven't been able to get one for 3 yearsmickey1975 wrote:How could you stop it? Many have tried, and failed. The favourite is paperless ticketing, where you produce your id and credit card used in booking and they admit your party. Seat wave and Viagogo simply arrange a meeting place near the venue and give you the buyers phone number and you walk in together. You could be paid a grand to go watch, or leave if you don't like it. Another effort was to send a barcode to your mobile phone, hundreds of crap payg phones with the barcode on popped up on eBay!mickey1975 wrote: You couldn't last time. Glastonbury are the only ones to have cracked it. It's like applying for a passport though and if you're ill or something else, nobody else can go.

If thats the case then it is a disgrace. However, I dont see why Eddie would do that, there was plenty of reason to believe this one would sell well and surely it is in his interest to make boxing fans happy as they are more likely to return to his shows then.SteveDow wrote:But it just seems like huge amounts of tickets are getting into the hands of these arseholes before they actually go on sale to the general public and the only way that can happen is if authorised by the promotor or the venue.Cherrybomb wrote:You mean the touts? My feeling today was that club wembley had ridiculously many good seats reserved. Just cant imagine why Eddie would do dodgy business when the show would most likely sell out to genuine fans anyways.

I got mine 5-10 min after booking. Im sure there is no reason to worry, the system is just overloaded. Do you still have the confirmation page open? Then you should take a screen shot just to make sure.columbo wrote:Anyone got their confirmation email yet? I havent which is a little worrying.

Re: So they're selling the rubbish seats first huh?
It's a joke, although I've known mates who have gone on other people's tickets. One mate went with a ticket and he didn't even look like the photo, the security guard pulled him up on it and he went "come on mate!" and the guard let him in.
I'm considering doing it this year. I look a bit like a younger, meaner Robbie Williams. If anybody fits that bill and wants to do a swap![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)
