So they're selling the rubbish seats first huh?
Re: So they're selling the rubbish seats first huh?
I had no luck either. I'll try again if and when they release some more. I think it's an absolute disgrace that this is allowed to happen with all these ticketing sharks.
The reality is, there could be swathes of empty seats because people won't pay the over inflated prices.

The reality is, there will be no empty seats. They will reduce prices of need be(the touts). I can't believe anyone on here is panicking. You should all be a bit more knowledgeable than that.milpool wrote:I had no luck either. I'll try again if and when they release some more. This kind of panic is exactly what touts live from. Im sure Eddie will make a deal with the TFL and 20k+ more tickets will go on sale. Then there is potential tickets from club Wembley being released and tickets that matchroom fighters have.
Re: So they're selling the rubbish seats first huh?
I thought touting was illegal ? Yet that's exactly what's happened (again) for a froch fight ! How can it say sold out before they have gone on sale ? And seat wave and viagogo (and companies like that) be selling £30 tickets for over £100 5 minutes after the tickets went on sale ! It's a complete joke again and something needs to be done. I hope no one buys a ticket of a second party and the place is empty !
Re: So they're selling the rubbish seats first huh?
Selling certain types of tickets on the secondary market is illegal I think but I dont think all are. Could be wrong on that though.jessi wrote:I thought touting was illegal ? I believe its illegal yes. I agree that it sucks, but what do you want to do about it? I cant think of an effective solution. I agree that the best thing people can do is not buying from touts out of principle and hope that they end up with a deficit.jessi wrote:I thought touting was illegal ? Is it against the law to re-sell concert tickets on the secondary market?
Under UK law, it is not illegal to re-sell tickets for concerts, although a street-trading license is required by law in order to sell items on a street corner. In addition, it is sometimes possible for a concert promoter to bring civil proceedings against someone reselling a ticket, but this does not often happen in practice.

Undercard fighters will have tickets too. Extra ticket will go on sale as well. No need to panic as mickey saysmickey1975 wrote:The reality is, there will be no empty seats. I imagine the view on the extra tickets going on sale will be pretty shoddy though.leforge wrote:Undercard fighters will have tickets too. Extra ticket will go on sale as well. Would have been brilliant if Groves smashed Lee Froch's face in there.

I'd get the tickets off one of the undercard fighters, they'll have them and no extra booking fees. They'll put their details on Twitter.

I think in future they should have some form of loyalty scheme for buyers from previous Matchroom shows, like they go on sale to those with purchase history the day before or even a couple of hours before general sale.
Yes I am a Matchroom veteran whose peeved about not having a ticket and thousands of casual fans will.

Isnt there a chance that those guys might try to cash in aswell though? I mean surely they could anonymously put the tickets up on one of the sites.King Tubby wrote:I'd get the tickets off one of the undercard fighters, they'll have them and no extra booking fees. I see thats why there still available.
