Lee Froch v George Groves
Re: Lee Froch v George Groves
I don't know how accurate this is but I remember seeing a newspaper article which had a story about this girl who was at loughborough uni with Carl and she said he was a very nice guy. Pretty quiet but respectful and didnt try his weight around at all.

Anybody who wears shades indoors without a valid reason is a bit of a tit in my eyes.

Wow...The Froch camp is turning into some version of the Hamed camp back in the day.

Re: Lee Froch v George Groves
When Carl isnt talking about himself or potential opponents he is alright, when he,s done work for Sky for example,he,s been a good pundit and respectful of all the fighters on each show but when he talks of his own achievements,he can sound arrogant and boastful,i dont think he,s a nasty person or a troublemaker or even a lout like his brother seemscolumbo wrote:I don't know how accurate this is but I remember seeing a newspaper article which had a story about this girl who was at loughborough uni with Carl and she said he was a very nice guy. But TBH he clearly doesnt like Groves so why should he blow smoke up his arse :??

Eddie needs to get Lee Froch to pipe down in future. He's making the whole thing seem so small time; it's a sell-out Wembley Stadium megafight, not some drunken scrap after closing time. The media tour is going to be unbearable if he's allowed to turn it into 'The Lee Froch show'. He's not entertaining, he's just a loudmouth with ideas well above his station.
And I can't believe Carl has already resorted to the bad breath schtick again - it was about as funny as genocide the first time round.
Anyway, highlights from today were the ITV reporter (give that man a pay rise) and the rubik's cube.

I'm glad I have avoided Twitter. Whenever I hear people talking about it, it seems to be a cross between the Women's Institute and the boys' toilets at primary school.

LF just strikes me as being a bit thick, I'm not a fan of Groves but at least he's obviously intelligentAnzi wrote:My opinion of Lee Froch get's worse each time I see him.

YEah he does seem thick. DOes anyone know how many brothers Froch has? There seemed to be about 4 people at the press conference who could've been his brother....danal2 wrote:LF just strikes me as being a bit thick, I'm not a fan of Groves but at least he's obviously intelligentAnzi wrote:My opinion of Lee Froch get's worse each time I see him.
Here is Lee's best video to date anyway: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYwVClNDq80

YEah it would be a great claim to fame! How long ago was this?arlovski wrote:not bad actually, i think he had 10-15 bouts, big strong cruiserweight, i was matched with him at one point but it never happened for some reason, shame as trotting out the line "i sparked out Lee Froch" would make me some sort of cult hero these days
Re: Lee Froch v George Groves
Groves gets the better of it again (and I'm a Froch fan).
But wtf is groves on about when he tells Eddie Hearn "if he touches me again, it's not on"?
A) Froch would love that!
b) Has this guy never seen some of the stuff that goes on pre fight in face offs?
Groves talks well but no doubt he's also pretty wound up and pretty nervous. More on the line for him than Froch no matter which way you look at it.

I thought he said it's not on as in i'm not letting him get away with it. I think he was insinuating that he'll chin him.garethhop wrote:Groves gets the better of it again (and I'm a Froch fan).

Re: Lee Froch v George Groves
Was the bald guy and the tall security guys with froch? looks like the bald one is trying to goad groves when the shove happens. Absolute disgrace and shows exactly what Froch is. Also why is Lee Froch even getting the air time? living off his brothers name as groves is spot on. its embarrassing. There is banter but when Lee is trying to make out sort it like a man with Groves if his idol big brother with the granite chin cant stand upto a Groves shot god knows how he fares without a glove on. Tool!!

Children, the lot of them! ( sound like an old woman I know
)
The push is nothing, the aftermath is nothing but Lee Froch seems a bit of a prick. I've seen some of his twitter stuff. Banter? Leave off. Not remotely funny.
People are over analysing it all too. 'Groves looks angry', 'Froch is nervous', 'Groves is nervous', 'Groves don't care', 'Froch needs his group to feel settled' etc
All are probably true and always have been before any of their fights. So what? Means eff all. Froch always has his crew with him it seems, I have seen Groves on the brink of tears before in a face off when Kenny Anderson knocked his hat off. Means nothing.

Re: Lee Froch v George Groves
Why did Froch push him? Did he say something about Groves whispering to him?
Pretty laughable stuff really.

Re: Lee Froch v George Groves
Lee Froch is sort of taking on the Angel Garcia role.
And it seems to be working in winding Groves up.
Carl Froch seems a lot more relaxed this time around, literally like has experienced the worst it could possibly be last time around and that Groves has nothing else up his sleeve thus time around ...

Re: Lee Froch v George Groves
The exchange with the ITV bloke is painful. Like something out of The Office.
Re: Lee Froch v George Groves
That was a pretty unprofessional though to be fair. It sounded like something a fan would ask vs a reporter.SNG wrote:The exchange with the ITV bloke is painful. Like something out of The Office.
Re: Lee Froch v George Groves
Unprofessional to ask the boxer why his brother is getting so much involved in something that doesn't involve him? Why was he talking then? No one gives a fornicate what he thinks.columbo wrote:That was a pretty unprofessional though to be fair. Re: Lee Froch v George Groves
It was the way he worded it "Do you always let your brother talk for ya" It's not the sort of question you see most journalists/reporters asking. He sounded like a Groves's fan.SNG wrote:Unprofessional to ask the boxer why his brother is getting so much involved in something that doesn't involve him? Why was he talking then? Re: Lee Froch v George Groves
Does asking a question to one boxer make you a fan of another? Do you think he would have asked he same question of Groves if his pals were acting like tits at a presser?
Despite the way he worded it I understood perfectly well what he was asking.
