Ochieng outright win @5/4?
Surely too big against a 4 fight 34 year old novice??
To be fair I know nothing about Perkins and indeed Eric is in poor form as of late....
Anyone fill me in please about Perkins......I think this is my bet of the weekend....

I am sure Perkins was a fairly good amateur (don't hold me to it, but I think he won a bronze in the commonwealth), I wouldn't bet against himBOYOVERTHEHILL wrote:Ochieng outright win @5/4?

Stayed amateur for a while, then packed it in before the Olympics after failing to qualify and felt he was too old to turn pro, but changed his mind in the end.BOYOVERTHEHILL wrote:Thanks chaps.Maybe I will rethink my betting haha.

In regards to recent amateur outings, he lost out in the 2010 ABA's to Hosea Burton by 1 point.
Perkins can fight and being over eight rounds may suit him.

I think Perkins has decided to give it a go and see how far he can go. Cant blame him. Also whilst he is getting on in age he's probably fairly fresh.
