Betting thread
Re: Betting thread
I had a double which included Warner to top score for Aus vs SA in the t20 international, then as I went to look at my winnings they only paid out for the other part of the double (At Madrid to beat Milan), does anybody know if I have a case to complain as although it was reduced as a 7 over match it was still an official match? Also would every bookies void it do ay of you know/think? I used Will Hill.. Thanks for any feedback.

Re: Betting thread
Another big weekend of Boxing but not much value about (well not in my book anyway)
Only a couple I fancy in Cintron to beat Cruz @ 13/10. Cruz has a very padded record and when he's stepped up he's been well beaten. If Cintron is half the boxer he used to be he should be able to beat the younger fighter with ease.
JM Lopez could well beat Ponce de Leon again @ 2/1. Nothing between these 2 really but I think Lopez has the beating of him and is possibly the fresher of the two.

Not much around but the Bellew fight caught my eye. Why is Brudov priced so long for Bellew's first CW fight??? I see no reason whatsoever why he should be priced at 10/1...the Brudov that showed up against Guillermo Jones would beat Bellew IMO. I did notice he got stopped by Ofolabi... Has Brudov slipped a lot? Either that or people must know something I don't.
EDIT OK so it seems Brudov has been inactive and might be turning up for the paycheck.. still decent value though I think, Bellew just isn't very good.

Brudov hasn't beaten a notable fighter in....the better part of a decade...I don't rate Bellew highly but Brudov is doneRiddick Blowe wrote:Not much around but the Bellew fight caught my eye. Also Bellew always claimed he was weight drained so the step up in weight should suit him. he was a bit of a beast in the Ams at heavierweight apparently.Boxing Prospect wrote:Brudov hasn't beaten a notable fighter in....the better part of a decade...I don't rate Bellew highly but Brudov is doneRiddick Blowe wrote:Not much around but the Bellew fight caught my eye. Re: Betting thread
thought there was a smidgen of value in these..
Wilder rounds 1-3 at 9/4
Grachev to beat chilemba at 7/5
Garcia to stop Herrera at 15/8
not had a bet yet though may just have a few small rollups, uninspiring weekend

OK thanks, thought it might be the case. On reflection it does look like the classic 'shot, inactive fighter turns up for one last paycheck' scenario.Boxing Prospect wrote:Brudov hasn't beaten a notable fighter in....the better part of a decade...I don't rate Bellew highly but Brudov is doneRiddick Blowe wrote:Not much around but the Bellew fight caught my eye. Malik Scott to stop Wilder in rounds 1-6 is 14/1. With Wilder's glass chin and recklessness I could see a scenario where even the light-punching Malik can weather the early, wide swinging storm and put a few on Deontay.
It's becoming my catchphrase, but 'I'll throw it into an accumulator!'

No light puncher will be hitting him as hard as Haye did in sparring, even though he had the big gloves and head guard on.Riddick Blowe wrote:OK thanks, thought it might be the case. Re: Betting thread
It's betting related so I'll share it with you...
Had a flutter on the 1.30 yesterday at Cheltenham using Skybets offer that if the favorite won you get your stake back. Anyhoo, my horse came second and the Fav won so they kindly refunded my stake. Didnt bet again as i didnt fancy anything.
Logged on today and found my refunded stake was missing so i sent Skybet an email asking about its whereabouts. Their response was I should have read the small print as I only have until 12am the same day to use the stake, but......as I'm a valued customer they will refund me the stake as a good will gesture. Excellent says me and drops it on "more of that" in the 3.20 this afternoon @ 9/1. Happy days and fair play to SkyBet on this one.

Re: Betting thread
Is there a bookie that continually offers worse odds than Stan James? Their pricing is not competitive in the slightest. Must be a lot of mugs out there. If everyone used Oddschecker they'd be out of business.
Is it just me or are these old school bookies like William Hill, that aren't very competitive on price, going to struggle to compete when their loyal old man betting shop clientele dies out and punters want better value?

always worth keeping an eye on Stan James's Method of Victory markets because of the cut insurance...granted it's usually priced in but not always...e.g. they currently have Ponce De Leon stoppage at evens when its 4/5, 5/6 elsewhere. Best price and you get technical decision included.
Re: Betting thread
My bet of the weekend- Fielding to win in rds 1-6 is 6/4 at Paddy Power.

Like it, might throw it in with Wilder in 1-6 at 4/6.
Re: Betting thread
Went with a longshot for tonight
Ochieng outright
Fielding rounds 5-8
Malik Scott by KO
Brook rounds 1-5
Brudov by KO
1354/1 most probably none of them come in, but worth a shot.

Re: Betting thread
Not a bad one that, Perkins hasn't got much experience, took Groves 6 to stop Adamu, with the weight advantage Fielding will probably take similar, Wilder has a dodgy chin, Brook should really be taking Robles out, but I don't think Brudov will do Bellew, unless the extra weight seriously hinders him.WelshJack wrote:Went with a longshot for tonight

I've gone Scott KO, Cruz, Grachev, Adamek. I also have a few others on Paddy involving Brudov KO but I think Valery will be in paycheck mode.

i feel the same, not seeing much value but sticking them on anyway. Just losing fun amounts but it'd be nice to win a couple of the more realistic accumulators :) I'm hoping my losing will curry favour with the books so they'll let me stick a serious bet on down the line when some value finally comes along. The Insider wrote:Ajisafe to stop Francis. Thought I was unlucky with Ajisafe too, he just couldn't finish Francis. This year has been kind so far. Gotta keep it up.
