On March 26, 1974 in Caracas, Venezuela, the great George Foreman successfully defended his world heavyweight title for the third time against contender Ken Norton in only 2 rounds. Norton won the first round in my view, but, after that, it was all Foreman's. What happened to Norton who went 24 rounds with the great Muhammad Ali but just 2 rounds with Big George?

I thought it was Foreman's second defense.

You know you're getting old when 40 years ago seems like a few months back. Sadly, I have the same problem.

As usual, Norton, a talented fighter who should have been able to hang with the best of them, (and he did against Ali and Holmes) became legendary for his quick fades against big punchers.
Getting kayoed by Foreman, Shavers and Cooney should be no cause for embarassment, but Norton had the ability to give all these guys a run for their money, yet he mysteriously found himself on the canvas muy pronto against these big bangers.
